Nothing to report paky? Awfully quiet down at berwick, considering it's 7 weeks till season starts and no coach! What's up?

Good turnout at Preston today for the Come and Try / Rego day. Saw a lot of new faces and there was a sea of red to welcome them. The level of organisation that we have now achieved with this annual event is nothing less than outstanding. To see 120+ juniors moving around the field in what could only be described as "harmonious chaos" was a testament to the effort and dedication the club has put in over the last several years.
As an event, I think it gets better and better each year, with show bags and prizes, a visit from Maverick (he only scared a few of the children) and a fielders choice stall to go with the requisite barbie and great weather, I think everyone had a great day all around.
Bring on SUMMER!!

From Baseball Victoria Website:
Matthew Wilson has been offered a contract with the Baltimore Orioles.
Interesting to read : This summer he will suit up for Waverley - in Baseball Victoria Division One competition - under the tutelage of Phil Dale, who manages both the Wildcats club and the Melbourne Aces in the Australian Baseball League.

Thanks for all your work Chelt, the nation will take it from here!! Is this the future of club ball here?? Kids get half good and they "think" the grass is greener when really all that's happening is smaller clubs will lose players!

Good on you Matt Wilson! A well deserved recognition of the skill you have developed from a very young age.

Agreed perfeckt. Plenty of numbers and depth there. The kid is going to work with one of (probably THE) best pitching coaches in the country. seems like he's doing the right thing for his career. Remember he's probably got one shot (if he's lucky) to make a proper career out of baseball. Chelt will be around long after he has taken that shot.

what are the games in red goblin? Lando is correct. I understand that it is supposed to indicate a visible change from the Prelim fixtures that were sent out a month ago.

So am I reading this right? Footsgray's firsts, who played div 2 last season, will be playing against most teams fifths? Correct, however we have played pretty poorly in Div 2 for 3 seasons and have very few juniors coming through. If you can suggest another grade for us please do

Gee, i dunno. How about say, division 3. If Rick Collins comes across no ones fifths will get anywhere near him.
