Any idea if Geelong will be at "home" on Wednesday or will the Division 2 game get priority because of Willie's close proximity to MBP

Would have liked to watch Div 1 and 2 games, maybe Div 1 could have been tonight and Div 2 Wednesday night, not getting hot and bothered about it just a placid suggestion.

Not according to the stats for Mulgrave, gj.
A superhuman effort by import McGillivray, who tossed 161 innings in the regular season (for a total of 2815 pitches). After him, Ben Lane had 23 innings on the hill (prior to the finals series). Simon Campbell, Nick Whitty and Mark Winton chewed up a few innings between them.

I'll go slightly off track bombers and mention the curtain raiser for the Women's Grand Final between two winter teams, the B3 Pakenham Pumas and B3 Berwick Dodgers.
With brothers Gregg Clutterbuck playing for Pakenham and Paul Clutterbuck playing for Berwick, the two teams are playing tomorrow for The Clutterbuck Cup, a battle that was started last season when the two teams met during the regular season, however the game was washed out, so no winner was ever crowned.
So, following the rain out in the Women's Division One match last weekend, a few calls and SMS's were made, and we have a game tomorrow between two teams in a true friendly clash. Both clubs deserve credit for moving swiftly to getting teams on the field, especially with the winter season a month away from starting.
The weather looks good, the ground is in great nick at Springvale, so it should be 90 minutes of fun baseball, followed by the Division One Grand Final between Springvale and Doncaster.
Good luck to all six clubs in BV Grand Final action this weekend.

Great news Stuart. Good to see there will be a big day at 3 different fields all over Melbourne this Saturday.
My tips are Essendon, Willy and Doncaster.

I encourage you to get down to Essendon on Saturday afternoon to watch a great game of baseball. The two top teams from this year’s Division One Summer League season, Essendon & Geelong, will be contesting game two of the championship series. Essendon have the opportunity to clinch the series after a game one win with Geelong out to take the series to a deciding game at Geelong on Sunday. This is our opportunity as clubs to show Baseball Victoria big games can be held at club grounds and we can show case our great game. This is the last chance to watch a Division One game in Melbourne this current season. I encourage you all to try and get there. I have been asked the question of parking options at Essendon on Sat. Best I am aware. If the carparks are full, other options is the roads around the park. The access Boeing Rd, next best option is De Haviland Av which is the last side street (to the left) before the clubrooms will be the best bet. Also, spill over can park in Lockhead street and walk accross the top oval essendon.baseball.com.au/site/baseball/essendon/downloads/Images/2012-13/2012-13 Div 1 Grand Final Flyer.jpg[/img]

Nice. No update from Essendon v Geelong. The BV facebook page is doing a cracking job with no updates for over an hour after an update of 7-6 in the 6th. Is it that hard to post another update? Really?

Can't see the grand final at a club ground is a winner. No parking, no seating and even the winners were saying it didn't feel right. Who's idea was it? With the upgrade at Altona done, it was the logical place. Attendance was not great either.

It took seven tough innings, however Springvale eventually saw off a determined Doncaster 16-10 to win the Womens Division One Premiership that was delayed after last weekend's inclement weather saw the game postponed.
Springvale jumped out to an early 4-1 lead before Doncaster first tied the game, and went ahead 6-4 in the fourth, but a 10-spot to the Lions propelled them to a match winning lead that the Dragons couldn't overcome.
Cat Row pitched a complete game for the winners, with Siobhan Taylor (or is it Stevenson now?) amassing three hits, while Georgia Page had three knocks for the Dragons.
The girls have little time off as many will suit up for Victoria Blue in a practice match against the Springvale Under 16s, and then come Friday, both Victoria Blue and Victoria White play double headers to start the 2013 Womens National Championships.
In the curtain raiser, Berwick emerged victorious over Pakenham in the Clutterbuck Cup in a close affair, but to get two winter sides on the park at this time of year on such short notice is a testament to both clubs participating and to the players who took part.
Special mention to the Pakenham Baseball Club, who had 20-30 people stay around for the entire womens final, which they certainly didn't have to do, but they supported their two womens players in the main game with good voice. I recall only a handful of years ago Pakenham as a club didn't have 25 people associated with it and it could have easily folded, but a determined group worked hard, and they now have a DBA Agrade club, and deserve recognition and success for their hard work around the club, and their support of baseball in the South-East.

They don't call us a pride of Pumas for nothing Stu. Hats off to the Springy grounds crew yesterday too, the ground was in amazing condition.

Funny thing is I have spoken to a lot of clubs and none are any they wiser why it was changed or have had any imput to a question about it.

Ditto Goblin and Pirates. I liked to watch Div 1 & 2 GFs at Altona and while the chance to play the week-end semi-finals at club grounds seems to be the favoured way the GFs should be at the one venue. I spoke with a wide range of people from within the baseball community today at the Mulgrave - Willy GF (congrats to Willy) and all thought the GF should be at the one venue.

Ment to ad in the previous post before anyone asked the question of me being in favour of Altona GFs why Sandy Masters didn't play there, different set of circumstances which I hope most people understand.

The masters situation is different for sure, long weekend Monday late game with both teams from the other side of town and really with small outside interest to watch, with all due respect. There must be more to it, to insist on this game and yet move the best weekends baseball to different locations. All teams would I believe would prefer to be playing at MBP with a wider group of spectators. Question should be asked at the next P&S meeting this Tuesday.
By the way this will be a special meeting to review the structure of the league so if you have a real interest or view on this matter you should make sure your club is in attendance as it could have a huge impact on your clubs.

Interesting you mention the P&S meeting. BV sent out that this meeting would discuss the competition structure and that information would be "sent out shortly". This was dated March 19 and the meeting is in 2 days. If this is so important why don't all clubs have this info now? Be a little bit professional please!
