I'm curious as to wether anything has happened with Chelt reportedly putting in a false A reserve match card with Adam blacklys name on it, as Gilmore pointed out. How has this not been picked up? Might prove more worthy of the rumour mill.

so are we saying that Cheatenham falsely represented who was representing their side on the match card? so that enuff games were registered for a player to qualify for finals, must have renovated some of the outer grounds into one large sheep station and I also understand that no Cheatenham player or supporter will be at Dingley for the derby?? so I guess there is no other club in the Beer League other than at Farm Rd, well I guess they can all continue to play with themselves as it seems they are well renowned for

Titta, why don't you elect yourself, dust off some tin and put on a display. Are Ronnie C or Darren Smith still pulling on the navy trackies for the lower grades? Surely chelt can send someone along.

I may stand corrected but I don't think the home run derby is in any Cheltenham players contractual obligations? or I guess no extra match payments for participation.....

you could possibly be right but involvement to assist a clubs fund raiser is "nice" and may just obviate any feelings from the rest of the baseball community that Farm Rd isn't wide enuff for the Hummers given that club personnel have stated their distaste for the involvement

I don't care who is swingin'! Tin, Wood, polyutherine, composite, whatever. I'm gunna go just to watch batters try to smash it up and enjoy the show. I don't particularly care who they are.

Not relevant to this topic but the false match card is fact not rumour

Ahh the hate for cheltenham..... Never seems to get old. One question i do ask is why should cheltenham support the dingley baseball club when they do not support us? Why are we the bad guys?
And all this banter about contracts and hummers make me laugh alot! Some just have no idea at all

Some just have no idea at all ahh Slypig Its NOT a Dingley Baseball Club Home Run Derby, its a DBA Home run derby No one said you were the bad guys, and yes Dingley does support cheltenham whenever we have teams playing at your ground. One experience shouldnt destroy what so many people have worked so hard to foster good relations between clubs. So come along next sunday and i will buy you a beer. Buddha

Very well played my well-rounded friend. Blake, if you go in the home run derby, I'll pay your entry fee.

Haha barb don't think I could get into the derby as losing miserably isn't high on my list haha. My only hope would be if we played this like golf. Lowest score wins.

Just so there is no confusion, because there does seem to be some going around. The Home Run Derby is being held at Dingley's ground,Rowan rd reserve, not at Rowans rd which is in Highett.

Fantastic afternoon at Dingley today. Perfect conditions for a great initiative from the Dingoes. No team hitting, no tricky stuff from pitchers, just people who wanted to smash baseballs. Great fun to watch and for what it's worth...keep it at Dingley, you guys conceived it and pulled it off. Congratulations to Cain Bumstead and everyone else who entertained the crowd by smashing baseballs all afternoon and the ball kids in the outfield and the Dingley catcher. I didn't even have to pay to watch!

Lets hope Dandenong bring the fences in like Dingley did, otherwise first to hit one out might be the winner next year.

Richo didn't have a problem with that, though at the sprightly young age of 24, nor should he!!

Richo didn't have a problem with that, though at the sprightly young age of 24, nor should he!! haha!! the question on the sheet was how long have you been playing for!! not how old!! Well done Bummy!!! great day and well done Dingley, you hosted a great event!! just order the wind blowing out not in next time you host it!!! Think it's fair to say the last round had a massive amount of tired hacks made!! 4.5 hours of broken up swinging is a lot especially after last games celebrations the night before. Well done Butch. Ran the day beautifully and got to know all the guys and chat with us all. absolute champion!! My favourite moment of the day was seeing the Moorabbin boys swinging wood hitting the ball to straight away centre and out!

He belted the hell of a few, and then Pricey claiming 2 went round the foul pole. We gave you one, but def not the second. Good to see the Moorabbin "Family" and the shout outs butch gave them.
