With rebranding in vogue this year with Geelong changing there name to the baycats, is it true that Sandy are changing there name to the "YoYo's" This year's slogan is "What Comes Up Must Go Down"

Hi Homer, long time reader first time heckler... It's long been understood that there are 5 key tools for baseball. Hitting for average Hitting for power Strong throwing arm Skillful base runner Strong defence I don't want to get too Sesame Street with you, but the Royals may be a little behind in some of these areas. Good examples of guys who show these qualities (in our league) are; Boothy RJ Andy Russell Rutgers Wiechard ... seeing a Claxtony type trend here? Yo Riki J your a 5 tool guy now. Let me act as your agent, Ill only take 50% (both money and groupies) I would like to be classed as "6 Tools" as I also cut a mean rug! Johne, you can happily be my agent but I must warn you my last one left me a very unhappy and disappointed man (although I did not share any fluff with him, maybe that is why?)

RJ... Just try to keep your movie re-enactments to a minimum. That THELMA and LOUISE stunt you and the little 'ranga tried to act out in the Jays OF last year left a bit to be desired. One tool you don't have.

Russellf, Does this ring a bell! Bonbeach- abit of a wild card! Interesting to see how their new coach's philosophies fit in!!

oh right.... well what i meant by that was Bonbeach seemed to be playing well under their previous head coach (two div 2 grand finals and almost staying up in div 1)... and that with a new head coach at the helm things might be a bit different... not singling anyone out in particular... i dont even know who the head coach of bonbeach is.. just noting that a change of coach puts a certain degree of unpredictability into the mix... thus its hard to have any firm expectations

Waverley for Div 1. Just heard Wearney is coming over with his best mates the Blackleys.
That fills in any gaps we had last year. Makes life easy for GK and Flemmo. Not completely reliant on these 2 guys to share the load.

Wearney is big pick up for you blokes. I guess it depends on how much the Blackleys are allowed to throw as to how much they will help. Im sure left hand hitters will not enjoy facing the wildcats as they dont have a righty anywhere to be seen. All south paws Felm, Hendrix, blackley, blackley, and they other bloke I think his name is evans.

yeah agreed johne, the good thing is with 6 quality starters, the requirement to throw more than say 3 innings a week is just not necessary.
Most you are gonna play is 18 innings a week. 3 innings each, 40 pitches per outing.
Most parent clubs will allow a guy like Trav to do that. Seeing as though he is working out of the pen at the Iron Pigs at the moment and Independant Ball allows you to do what you please essentially.

... Most you are gonna play is 18 innings a week. 3 innings each, 40 pitches per outing. ..... Someone paid attention in math's class at ivanhoe grammar (thats an old marnell line, he reckons everyone from the eastern suburbs went to ivanhoe grammar)
