Ease up ferg... Not saying chelt wouldn't beat sandy but geez, it's not like you're that different when you look at the results... both up and down. And the lineup you're projecting AINT that strong.... the stats dont tell the full story.... ask the other div 1 teams if they felt comfortable playing us... bar Blackburn we could have beaten every other side at least once during the year... and your right the lineup aint that strong now... but it will be....

Chelt have always had really strong junior players and major potential with out it ever really translating to major success at senior level though.
Think about the players that have come up through the Chelt system: - Blackley x2 - Brasher - Gourlay x2 - Tim Fisher - Ben Paturzo
The list could go on for a long time. When you think that this junior strength probably kicked off around 16 years ago with Gourlay senior, how can you be so sure that your current potential will provide the success that the old potential has failed to?

Yo Riki J your a 5 tool guy now. Let me act as your agent, Ill only take 50% (both money and groupies) Jealous Johne? I only said "show these qualities" in our league. Had to put a few examples in there for the Div2 kiddies. Shall we draw up a list of requirements that define "premium" players in Div1 and then categorise players? Sure I didn't mention guys like Sticks and Berg (should have) and the list could go on. Put your propeller cap on (take your Ess. one off) and average the five tools across our leagues premium players, how many guys show above avg in 4 or more tools? Probably find only about 12-15 tops!! Go figure why these guys are in or around Claxton each year. For all the guys in Div2 or 3 that may have heard of this fantastic Div1 thing, you can play too!! Take the best 5 players in your league as the yardstick... how do they stack up to these 5 tools. Feels like we're playing VBA moneyball. I was just having a joke with Rik who I know very well, Im sure he will enjoy being classifed 5 tool and likewise my offer to represent him. I was not having a go at your post. Ive liked your writings so far southside dont make me put a cap in yo ass For real 5 tool players (and I mean on what professional scouts consider 5 tool measurements to be) the only guy I would consider a legit 5 tooler is WEICHARD. On a vba level 5 tooler all the guys you mentioned are worthy nominee's. Ive been called a tool once or twice but never a 5 tooler

Southside, Just wondering if you have seen Johne play. The guys hits for power as good as anyone, lead Essendon's average last year, has a hose when he needs too, lead Essendon's SB and won't run out of sight but is quite quick for a big bloke. And he was only reving up RJ whom he played with I didn't realise Johne was joking... myself, I can't take a joke... sic. Jubba, here's a hot tip, he won't steal any bases with you swinging off his n u t s... hahahaha

Definitely on the same page johne, think of this last conversation as a shallow and light hearted dig at others on these threads who have said... "Look out Div1"... or previously "There are guys in Div# that would walk into Div1 teams". If any take exception to it, oh well.
Said it before, Sandra Sully I ain't, none of this should be news to any of the guys who have been around for a while. I should run a short course at some TAFE on all this.

That will probably help the boys with me now playing. It was 5 all when I got tossed and they won 16-6. Looks like they will have more chance with me missing the week.
