With the weather predictions for tomorrow and with 5 home games scheduled at Pakenham I thought we better brush up on the heat policy. After 3 seasons Pakenham are still not listed to an area. The closest regional area with a temp reading is Warragul which would be about as relevant to Pakenham as the Melbourne airport reading. Surely after 3 seasons and with the predictions this weekend someone at Bv would have had a quick look to make sure all teams are covered. Guess it will be up to the umpires tomorrow.

Puma haven't you checked the Summer League website lately? In the by-law section with the section concerning "Heat" Pakenham comes under "CRANBOURNE" with Berwick.

Thanks Mackem, probably my fault for expecting the BV website to be up to date and relevant. Next problem, where to I find the current temp for Cranbourne? Following the link provided by BV it takes me to the 7 day forecast. If I google it it takes me to this link. www.bom.gov.au/vic/observations/melbourne.shtmlI'm pretty sure that is the link bv are referring too and have posted the wrong one. Problem is the Cranbourne observations are only updated once daily at 9am. All the others look like they are updated live. Even if you ring the 1196 number as per the old policy Cranbourne is not listed. So back to square one, looks like it's the umpires call.
