Thanks to the many baseball contacts and friends in Victoria who have notonly offered words of encouragement and support for our fledgling club, but for those brave souls who chipped in $100 to become a 'co-owner'. In what has been a pretty jaw dropping 3 weeks we have raised about $6K and now have the quirky honour of having 3 times as many owners as we do players... almost 60 of them! They are pretty much split between the USA and Australia with one in Vienna, Austria.
Special thanks to Kingsley Collins who wrote some really kind words and helped weaved a baseball tale that people could empathise with.... and then it was picked up by Ben Hill (a MiLB blogger) and the funds went crazy overnight!
I dont think I've looked forward to a season of baseball as much as this coming one for many years.... the excitement is back and we're bringing baseball to a whole new group of people in country NSW.... if you would like to keep track of us, jump onto "Armidale Baseball" on Facebook and you'll see how we are travelling.
