Over the last 6 months the Berwick baseball club (dodgers and cougars) have experienced 3 break ins to the clubs premises. These attacks appear to be deliberately planned and organised, with the most recent one occurring some time last night on our batting cages resulting in the theft of a ride on lawn mover, and also unfortunately baseball specific equipment in a pitching machine and buckets of balls.
I ask all members of the baseball community just to keep a look out for us if you see any of this gear re-appearing or any information that may help us out. You can contact either club at webmaster@berwickdodgers.com.au, webmaster@beriwckcitycougars.com or pm me on here.
Cheers

I believe the same thing happened up in Bendigo sometime in the last week or so. (The Falcons club I think)
They took the same items, ie: ride on mower and normal mower, pitching machines etc.
Absolute dogs
If anybody hears anything on the grapevine, report it directly to the police. (unless you can catch them in the act, in that case just call the rest of the club members to come up and have some batting practice)

I would think you would have monitored alarms/cameras installed. Hopefully you catch them.

It's actually the 4th time. Clubrooms 3 times, now the batting cage is the 4th.
And believe it or not, the committee have been pleading with council to get some better security, to the point where we've actually asked to get monitored cameras, etc (at our expense).........but so far they are telling us we can't do it uless they okay it.

Put in a webcam, or a simple camera monitoring the door to a hard disk storage... couple hundred bucks, turn in on at night, you don't need to fully install it on the wall or anything, just hide it...

Bugger the council, do what you need to do and let them try to fine you or serve an order to remove. A phone call to aCA or TT would see such a media sh1t storm. Extreme, I know but when faced with extreme stupidity..........!
