We had two teams going in the 45+ and 50+ but the Baseball and Games organisers over there were so bloody hopeless in letting us know about teams, age grouping, venues, & the likely minimum amount of games etc that the $ risk was too high and we (many of our boys from the USA) all bailed on the Turin World Masters about 4 months ago unfortunately.

Just in case anyone was wondering the World Masters Games in Turin that just finished was farcical (which is a shame after very successful Worlds baseball at Edmonton in 05 and Sydney on 09).
Luckily we didn't go as the 'writing was on the wall' months ago with incompetent organisers etc.
There were 5 teams in total 2 of which were softball teams that were talked into playing to make up the numbers.
Its a timely reminder for us Masters team organisers to be cautious when committing time and money (of our own and that of our mates) to some tourneys overseas.
