it has been a while since i have been a part of this forum, but this morning i came across an under 12s coach that 1. didnt want to start the game because we were using week old game balls, then he stopped the game because we had more than 1 hitter on deck & a dad that sweeped home plate with a broom to keep it clean for the ref... forget that before the game i informed this bloke that we couldn't make the 4 & they could... and that we would be mixing our kids around in their last game///////////// pretty much handing them the game,,, but keeping my kids happy... to the kids that 10 runned my kids, you played really well & i wish you luck in the finals....you are a good bunch of kids......... to the assistant coach and scorer that showed sportsmanship i thank you, ...... to the head coach that questioned what i knew about the game of baseball & degraded my club you are a weak disgrace that is living your career through your kids. to not shake hands with the opposition coach after a junior game is a disgrace, im sorry i dont have an american accent , maybe your right and i know nothing abiout baseball.... i can walk away from this game knowing i coached with the kids best interests in mind win lose or whatever... you head coach are a knob!

I knew a guy called jetpilot, but he was a senior club coach at 3 different clubs and was head hunter by BV to run one of their junior programs so that can't be you. He didn't have an accent either.
To not shake hands at any level is poor form, at u12 level is a disgrace.

It can be a challenge when you have kids that want to steal bases and entice run down plays knowing they will never get caught against a weaker opposition. The coach (and the kid) may be in a dilemma against chalenging the kid and the kid wanting to be his best and the coach wanting the kid to not try so hard for the sake of sportsmanship. Toning some kids down can be a chalenge, not that this is the case in your scenario JetPilot.
