Not sure were to post this put I think it is terrible that the draw for the nationals is out and the Vic U18 teams play within an 1hr of each other and they play each other at 9:30am on diamond 2. The White team does not play a game on the main diamond during the round-robin section also. This is not having a go at BV as they dont run the schedule it is just a shame that year after year Vic teams get a terrible draw. www.u18nyc.baseball.com.au/site/baseball/u18nyc/downloads/U16%20and%20U18%20Schedule.pdf

spink01, if you have anything sensible or even half-coherent to say, please rejoin us.
Are you saying that some of the results displayed somewhere are inaccurate? If so, please be specific.

Spink my post was more about the two vic teams having to play at the same time or within 30 min of each other for the first round, it makes no sense to do this especially when the tournament is in Vic.
If the draw was fair why did it take until today for the Vic White 18's to play on diamond 1?

I want to register my thanks to all the volunteers from the Geelong Baseball Club who have worked so hard to provide the players at the Championships the opportunity to compete this last week. It's a HUGE undertaking and one that is soundly appreciated.
Thanks to all involved.

There is no need to repeat yourself, Jon, but the sentiment is spot on. The nationals are a huge undertaking for all involved. It is a credit to the host clubs, officials, ground crews, scorers, families, volunteers, coaches and of course the players that the tournaments have been such a resounding success. There was some backhanded comment earlier in this thread about communications. The ABF and the state governing bodies often cop flak, especially in these times when people want immediate online information. Sometimes the criticism might be warranted, often not. From what I could see, the ABF, its staff, its technical and social media people - and especially the scorers and their support people on the ground at Geelong and Narrabundah - deserve a huge pat on the back for their diligence and their sustained effort to cover the championships in such a thorough and generally accurate manner. Well done to all.
