Blackburn managed to involve itself in another intriguing contest, this time getting home 10-7 over Sunshine - which held a 7-2 lead in two but struggled after a storm delay as the Orioles offence smacked three home runs in a terrific comeback. Geelong packed too many guns for a Harman-less Upwey, gaining an early break and wrapping the game up in seven on the back of another great start by Tom Kerr-Chapman. Big day on the sabbath, with a heap of Summer League games and an ABL series decider between the Aces and Perth Heat at Melbourne Ballpark. www.vicsummerleague.baseball.com.au/

Sandringham continues its march up the Division One table, this time with a 5-2 result over Melbourne, who have tapered off considerably. Malvern 3-0 over Doncaster, Essendon 6-3 over Waverley and, as gj mentions, the Pirates went down after another bold showing against a genuine contender for the playoffs. www.vicsummerleague.baseball.com.au/

Great to have a beer yesterday with the Bomber boys after a game well played by both clubs. To Sully, Phil Allan, Jarrod Rodgers and Luke Abels, cheers Fellas.

Ventured out to Willy on Sunday arvo to check out some Wolves v Mariners and hoping for a close game of baseball. New look Wolves put on a bit of a 3rd inning hitting display to pull away from the Mariners on their way to a 15-1 win.
To very different line ups compared with 12 months ago.

i thought i noticed you perched on the hill Larry, thanks for coming down.
Big thanks also to all the port players and supporters who stuck around for the game and socialised afterwards.
Looking forward to returning he favour next year on the new ground and hopefully taking home the pennies from the reverse raffle :-).
