Company called Volclay in Geelong. You want the grey granular (kitty litter) type, not the white talc stuff.

Your doing a hell of a job on the ground Fuzzy.
You have had the ground in pristine shape on the weekend. Hats off to you, great effort.

A fair call, partner! The ground is looking (and playing) better than it ever has in its short history. Fuzzy and staff should be rightly proud of their work. For the Sydney series, it was clearly better than for the Bandits games early in the season. Yes, the facility has ongoing issues with shade that will need to be addressed at some point, but it remains a quirky and very attractive venue that will continue to get better. Of course, if we went on the advice of some dodgy ABD Editor hiding from his disgusting criminal past behind online anonymity, then the Aces wouldn't play any games at the Showgrounds - especially finals. Fortunately, no decent human beings seem to listen to the Jarrett "family" these days.

Kudos is most warranted to the Aces and their outstanding 'Ground Crew' for the presentation of the field this season.
There were some problems after the concerts last month, with turf incorrectly laid and having been relaid in the outfield (well done to Windsor for being onto that within moments), and the infield looks many times better than last season.
Young Fuzzy has had to deal with some red tape over the break just to get onto the ground to give it the proper maintenance but has managed to give the team the best possible field to work with - well done all.
On a side note, it is with sadness I relay the passing of Fuzzy's back side window on his car - a life cruely cut short after being hit by a Brad Harman foul ball in the car park during the recent Sydney series. I believe the players have made sure Fuzzy is not out of pocket for the cost of his replacement window - well done guys!

thanks for help and kind words which are shared by a group of dedicated Aces staff and volenteers, and KC I agree that the lack of shade is a major issue (would like some shade on the ground crew) but all things considered we are way in front of last year

Sorry if I'm off topic here. Surely the shade issue must be a matter for the show grounds admin to consider as they rent the ground to the Aces. Would it come under their "Duty of care"? Even more so in this litigious society.
BTW I also applaud the work done by fuzzy and his hard working staff to maintain and keep up the ground despite everything put in his path such as weather etc.
