Just wanted to get some opinions on this one. As Division One women only play a short season, washouts are replayed. We had a replay scheduled for tonight, but this morning I was notified that the game has been cancelled due to the opposition not having enough players.
Apparently only players that did not play that round on the Saturday can play. My main concern with this is that now the game is to be replayed midweek, I have a number of my usual firsts players working nights, and a couple injured. Therefore, no matter when this game is to be replayed, I am likely to be short.
I have 39 girls on my list at Springy, however, may need to take the field with 8 in a game. Does this seem strange to anyone else? And what were the rules in men's baseball when there used to be washouts replayed??

Wernie52 if I could answer that question I would and as for elevatencelebrate just grow up and have some respect. If you don't have a answer just say nothing, there is no need for that.
What has Wernie52 done to deserve that? Not acceptable. You can't back peddle by saying "Nothing against you Wearnie "

So the next time there's an incident in a mens game the baseball public should notcare about mens baseball? The game Wearne 52 is mentioning is a fixture between Springvale and Malvern Baseball Clubs, and from what I understand, neither club has anything to do with the incident that has dominated the forum this week. It is grossly blinkered and shows a great deal of ignorance to tar everyone with the same brush due the actions of those involved. We as a baseball public don't do that when an incident occurs in men's baseball. There is no reason the women's section should not be afforded the same treatment
In response to your question Wearne52, numbers can be an issue midweek, so I contend that the game should be treated as a midweek game, not as a replayed washout game. Making everyone available would ensure not only a game of baseball, but as good a standard of baseball that can possibly be played between two teams.

Distant memory tells me that same applied for the mens when they did have washout replays. I also remember vaguely that the re-entry rule still applied after the 2nd inns (for players who played in the 2s on the day of the washout..
Checked thru my old records and couldn't find anything that specifically mentions it.
