Dare I ask whether it is worth even packing the car to go to Blackburn tomorrow?

Yep. Looking at the radar the Geelong guys would have copped it worse if their home game. BYO sponges everywhere tomorrow.
Bring on the dry season (MWBL).

What's with Fitzroy 3s/4s playing home games at Greensborough? The 1s/2s and 5s apparently get to play at Merri Park, so what's keeping the 3s/4s off their home turf?

Merri Park redevelopment is due to start this week. During the redevelopment Fitzroy's home matches will be play at Greensborough Baseball Club's Elder Street Reserve, starting from this week when the 3rds and 4ths take on Malvern.

Despite earlier information, senior games at Blackburn look like going ahead.
Anyone know the state of play at Werribee, which was subject to flood warning overnight?
Thought I'd sail on down there......

2's called at Werribee. 1's are still going ahead at this stage, so they have 3 hours to get the ground right. Shopping spree at Clark Rubber?

Rebels! Win 4-3 in 11, 1-1 all after 9, Dan Rogers goes the distance, and an amazing come from behind victory. Dropped down 3-1 top of 11, then reeled of 5 hits in a row with one out to score 3 to take the bikkies! Great win, and good to see Markus down at the club today, including umpiring the under 14's today. Also he was in deep discussion with drew in regards to a catchers glove with extra padding! Great days down at the 'graveyard'!

5's got up in the first game over one of the Korean Chelt teams 12 - 5. Was tight early when I stopped in but must have opened up late. Was 1-1 into the 3rd IIRC.
4's went down 4 - 3 to Werribee. Good tight game from both teams.
3's got up 15 - 4 in the late game. Blake Pendlebury shut out the B's over 5 with 6 K's, one hit and one BB. Young Simon Hibert threw well for them, and a few calls go his way score is probably a little closer. They then had a lefty and another righty in relief; coach Slape closed the door for us. Was good to have "The Bushman" down to catch and slap the ball all over the place.

Werribee went down to Preston 2 -0 Big thankyou to a lot of the preston players that helped(tookover) in the big task of cleaning up at Werribee. There definately would not have been a game without there efforts. We certainly moved some water today.

Rebels downed by springy 6-5, a tough loss, with a late rally by the lions bringing in three runs in the last dig. Chance to bounce back with another hit out against the lions on Sunday at dandy.
