Gentlemen, you know the drill. predictions, rumors results for what should be a cracking div 2 again this year.
week 2 games:
Sandringham vs Bonbeach: Game of the round, The Nepean Hwy derby featuring two potential finals contenders should be a thriller. will be great to see how the royals handle the potent bonbeach hitting line up that was in strong for last week.
Newport vs Moorabbin: with a buoyant Moorabbin coming off a first round win early runs might make all the difference here. newport will be happy in matching mulgrave hit for hit last week and be very dangerous if they can minimize the errors and walks that hurt them last week. rumors floating that the moorabbin pitching staff may be bolstered by the return of an old dog.....
Ormond GH vs Williamstown: Ormond went all the way against moorabbin last week and will pose a real threat if they can keep pace with the wolves who scored in all but 2 innings last week. the wolves will still be missing key players in green and camov J but strengthened by new recruits Mcdonald and Hart. with the 1's 2's and 3's all playing at ormond the stage should be set for a great game.
Port Melbourne vs Chelsea: Chelsea returned to div 2 in an impressive manner matching it with ex div 1 club Sandy last week. with both teams keen to post their first win of the season expect this one to be a hard fought clash.
Springvale vs Berwick City: with both sides being dealt the mercy rule last week and the first win of the season up for grabs you can be certain both teams will roll up ready to play this sunday.
Waverley Wildcats vs Mulgrave: This should be an interesting one. waverly was able to keep sunshine's bats to just 2 runs but struggled for any offence against an inform meddick (congrats on the NO NO.) Mulgrave who are shaping up early as another finals contender capitalized on newport errors last week. with a key game against st kilda mid week pitching decisions will play a big part in just who rolls out for mulgrave this week.
St. Kilda vs Sunshine: another cracker here, this one is anyones guess. both teams feature offensive and pitching depth this could go either way. expect both these team to feature well this season.
goodluck to everyone on the weekend, and go wolves ;-)
