Geelong led 2-0 after two, the Bombers put up five in the third and were never headed after that.
Dean McIntyre solid over seven, while the Essendon top order in left-handers Scott McIntyre, Sayers and Rogers were very good with the bat.
Melbourne downed Cheltenham 5-1, with Andy Mann throwing a complete game of less than 100 pitches for the Demons.
Four Division One games on Sunday, with a full book of lower grades and junior competitions.

I know 6for posted in another thread but indeed Bonbeach 16 defeated Sandringham 0.
As Jake Sinclair had his first at bat for Sandringham in the bottom of the third, Bonbeach had already put their 16 runs on the scoreboard. Sandringham proceeded to load the bases in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings, but couldn't push a run across the plate.
Seconds, Thirds and Fourths all won by Sandringham with the scores being (I believe) 8-1, 24-5 and 12-1 (apologies if I am a run or two out in any of those).
In the women's, Port Melbourne beat Sandringham 25-0, and in the same pool (Pool C I believe), Moorabbin beat Springvale B 14-7.
In Women's Pool A, Springvale A beat Malvern 7-6 and Doncaster B defeated Springvale C 6-4.

If we are calling Div 2 the vfl does that make Div 1 3rds and 4ths the wafl? Donny managed to inflict some pain on both Preston teams this afternoon, both scores plenty to not a lot. Horran, Otter and Ward held the 3rds to 3 for the day. I think Horran had 9 Ks in about 4 digs. Also like to thank Dave Medlin for not sending me to hospital when he had the chance!

Rebels in another big win, 14-5 against waverley. A good first up outing by Dan Rogers, 6 scoreless innings. Seconds also blanked waverley, a ten all draw in the thirds, and a lip sided game in the forths with stkilda winning allot to not much. Thurs game at altona vs Stkilda could be a big game.

Blackburn out-dueled the Pirates 13-6, although the game was for the most part a better contest than that.
Bumpstead, someone else (sorry) and Hussey threw for Blacky, and it went Alldis, MASA, and then Bryan Salas came in late for some mop-up work.
Blackburn looked dangerous early on with a few Preston errors leading to an early run, but Mick buckled down and left the bases loaded. The Pirates came out swinging and put up a 3 spot and I'm sure they gave the Oriels a bit of a scare. The lead changed again when and went to 4-3 Blackburn, then 5-4 Preston, then 6-all going into the last.
Having thrown on the weekend Masa looked a little tired but kept working as hard as ever, and a few calls and close plays let the door open and Blackburn did what good teams do and that is hit, hit and hit. Boothy hit the base of the right-centre wall and it would have been a grand-slam in any other park.
The Pirates aren't that far away from a W. The hits have started to come, just need to tighten the screws on defense and they'll win a few games this year.

Thursday night game rebels drop a tough one to stkilda, 3-1. Rebels bats quiet, and a couple of walks turn into runs. In a close game, we just can't afford them. The game after was Newport vs springvale. Don't know the result.

Result page suggests Newport got the chocolates 5-3.
