Two wins for Wangaratta today in NEBA Rangers over reds 12-7 and in the early game Rangers over Wodonga. Unsure of score as I was off warming up.
Next week the two Wangaratta teams collide and in retro day we will be playing in all our former clubs gear. Just to jazz things up in Wangaratta!

As always spethal, thank you for your input on the NEBA.
News on what's happening in the northeast seems otherwise hard to come by and the league website is some years out of date.
Is there anywhere else that we can access NEBA news and information? Does the league need some help in getting its website up and running?
If we can help out with any basic guidance, please give goblin or me a yell.

Thanks for that KC I will talk to my club about it. I know there was a photographer at the game yesterday for the local Wangaratta Chronicle. Media reports for the league are very difficult to come across in general.

jrogers, How many weeks did that potty mouth (same guy as last year) at your club get for his outburst at Nth Balwyn? Was he offered 3 weeks but rolled the dice at the tribunal?

North East baseball result today. The two Rangers teams played one another. We decided to play in all our former clubs uniforms and have rock and roll baseball. A god day was had by all till a storm hit at 4pm and ended the game. Rangers retro got up by about 20.
The music playing added a bit of atmosphere. A great Family day for the entire club

Anothe two wins to the two Wangaratta teams. one team 20 odd runs over a young wodonga team, while the other rangers outfit defeated bears. A good effort by all involved today in North East baseball!

The Rogers clan made the trip up to Wangaratta today to play Wodonga's 2nd side. Dad, Cam, Uncle James and myself all got in the game at some stage. Good fun. We put up a nasty 16 run first inning but gave 2 straight back. From there the game played out with us scoring a further 8 runs for the game to win 24 - 2. Everyone did their bit and I managed to miss hit a home run . Hopefully get up next week for a game against spethalranger, looking forward to it.

Hello
Made the trek up the Oven valley to play Porepunkah today. Wang rangers 15-6 winners. Always good to play up there and have a beer with the Panthers in the pub afterwards. Good people and nice to play in Porepunkah!

Cam and I played at Benella on Sunday for Porepunkah. We got up 16 - 7 scoring in all but the last inning. Uncle James threw first 3, James Hughes closed off. Good win keeps us sitting in fourth.

I am currently on holidays so I have not played in a few weeks but I still keep my finger on what is happening at the Ranger Ranch.
Rangers played Wodonda Warriors today. Result 7-5 in another close game between two good teams.
Other Wangaratta team won easy! (that's what I have been told anyway!)

Down at the Ranch today. (A rather wet and Muddy Ranch too!)
Rangers defeated Warriors in a close game. not sure of the scores But Rangers won.
We played Lavington reds. We came away winners in another close game 10-7.
Bit of work to do this week at training!
Next week rematch of the the two Wang teams!

Cam and I went up to Benalla today and played Wang B. The mighty Punkah won 20(?) - 4. A few guys with multiple hits and we did pretty well in the field. One of the Wang guys wore a pick off in the face, taken to hospital, lots of blood so suspect a nasty broken nose, hopefully nothing worse.

Wang Guy had cat scan his nose isn't broken but the side of his face is shattered so he has to have an op in Melb when the swelling goes down - about 2 weeks time. Not good news they would rather just a broken nose

Hello.
NEBA result from today. Wang rangers 7 Benall Bandits 5. A good tough game of baseball played. Ground bit heavy underfoot in places, but the amount of rain we had last week, the ground held up well.
Not sure how the second game panned out.
Next week sees us travel to gayview park Wodonga to play against Wodonga Warriors. One chance to get it right. Following week is grand final at Wangaratta.

Just got home from the B grade Grand Final in Wang. Punkah got up 16 - 7 over Bears B. We gave up 7 runs in the second inning before Heath 'MVP' came on and shut the game down. Some good hitting by us as well with lots of guys getting multiple hits, home runs to Shane, Heath (big shot) and Cam. Everyone did their bit. Good win!! In the A grade, I left when Bears A were 1 - 0 up over Wang A after the first 2 or 3 innings on a hit up the middle by Boo.

Yeah in the end Bears got over us. It was one-all going into bottom of six. Ball got through and well Bears did not look back after that. I think the score ended up about 8-1 I never looked at the score book after the game. Just had to pay my fines tot he tin for strike outs errors etc!
Good atmosphere at the game. The Punkah boys were great value on the sidelines! Well done to all winners and Umpires for coming up from Melbourne to officiate.
