Lots of inclement weather being forecast for the weekend.
Clubs location could be the deciding factor in games going ahead or not.

Could make a big difference for Blackburn and waverley. What is the procedure for finals for lower grades? Push back a week?

Looks like Mother Nature won today, only game so far to play was Geelong v Melbourne and it was won by Melbourne 7 -5.

Rustlers v. Blackburn washed out after 4. No runs scored. Spectacular Blackburn catch at third from a rocket hit by Chelt. and another sliding center field fly ball take by the blackers. No matter, 4 digs under 60 minutes.

Probably indicative of most games. No Start in the Preston V Werribee game. Mind you Goodo looked good with the dinner jacket on today.

Looks like the rain outs have been pretty decisive in div 1? Anybody able validate my numbers? Looks now like top four are locked down. The only possible change is geelong and essendon could swap places. Third and fourth can't move up or down. Is that right?

Cheltenham is out of contention.
Geelong and Essendon could swap places.
Blackburn can still take fourth over Waverley if the Wildcats lose next week (against Cheltenham) and the Orioles either win or have a washout (against Werribee).
It looks that way. BV might have more to say in their weekly report.
Divvy Two has become very interesting, with Sunshine beating Newport on Saturday and a crucial game to come on Sunday (if it gets played) between Ormond and St Kilda.
That game, and next week's clash between Sunshine and Mulgrave will have Fitzroy and Werribee both taking notice.

Divvy Two has become very interesting, ... Indeed it has. The final round clash between Mulgrave and Sunshine will decide the minor premiership. A Mulgrave win will seal Werribee's fate. But the battle between Bonbeach (third), Sandringham (fourth, for now), and St Kilda (fifth, but likely to move up) has really opened up, with yesterday's washouts bringing St Kilda back into finals contention. A win today over mid-table Ormond will move St Kilda up into fourth, displacing Sandringham. But even Bonbeach is at risk, with a danger game in the last round against Williamstown. Drop that, and Bonbeach could miss the finals entirely...

Makes for a cracking final weekend doesn't it? Plenty to play for in both divisions for quite a few clubs.

hunters did the royals a big favour scoring the winning run in the bottom of the 9th for a 1-0 scoreline, great pitching by both starters and a terrific at bat by Gary hubbard to lead off the bottom of the 9th (11 pitches) getting on with a hit.

Cheltenham fours beat Melbourne 11-9. Close game all day with Melb guys stuffing it up two weeks in a row. Good to see the Chelt guys hang round for beers and BYO radio.

Mulgraves threes beat Springvale 5-4. The Lions took an early lead, but in the 4th the Rebels brought in 4 to put us 5-3 up.
Play St Kilda next week... but question... are we going to be able to get in there with the GP starting 3 days after?

It will be interesting how the tribunal handles the ejection of a young Newport 2's player especially as Newport beat Williamstown to play in next weeks Div 2 2nds Grand Final

If he deserves to be out he will be out (or is there something more sinister that you are implying).

It says something about the guy when although terrible conditions to watch a game of baseball, we had 15-20 Melbourne Aces supporters there to watch Bubbie Buzachero's final game. These supporters didn't belong to Preston, just your regular Aces gamers.

These supporters didn't belong to Preston, just your regular Aces gamers. And had the weather not been as bad as it was there would have been at least another five or six that I know of. While some are doubting how quickly the Aces can have an impact in regards extra on-field participation, I do know four or five Aces members will be suiting up for their first ever season of baseball this winter.

Nothing sinister just the number weeks he will get seeing as the team is playing in a grand final this week. And I don't believe he should get discount because he will possibly miss the grand final.

Hey MF this weekend will really prove to be nothing more than a mathematical simple equation. Mulgrave 3 Sunshine5 Bonbeach 3 Sandringham 6 If we go by the BV rules and using the scenario of needing 6 junior teams then if you above then the only team that can progress this year is Sandringham. My figures suggest that the Minor Premier will stay down???
