Very sad day for Vic baseball, in particular for sandringham BC. I'm sure jack will be mourned and remembered by many.

Rough time for Sandy, losing Amanda Huckstadt (women's coordinator and coach) suddenly two weeks ago, and now Jack.
Very sad, he will be remembered by many. May he rest in peace.

Sadly I will miss Jacks funeral on Friday morning, he would have loved nothing more than the Aces doing the job in Perth. He treated my sons and every young baseballer like a doting grandfather. Sleep well Jack Fuzzy

Jack looked after me in 1969 in a State Junior Team (traveled by train to Brisbane - a different time) and it is down to him that I am still involved in baseball today. He loved and respected the game like few others and the World is a better place for him having lived. RIP Jack.

I hear what your saying fuzz about the 'doting grandfather', Jack always made my family feel special. I guess that was part of his magic. Seeing Jack and Jim Upfill together was like seeing the two old muppets from sesame street bagging each other but they both enjoyed their shared history. Jack was always an encouraging force in both my childrens life (now adult) and one didn't even play baseball. Jack went into extra innings.....well played and I hope you meet up with big Jim in the balcony seats and keep an eye over us.

what a great man, but what a sad loss..I along with everyone share my deepest condolances to the family. He would never forget a face or a name. He always loved the Moorabbin v Sanringham clashes...they always made him smile..
