Congratulations to the Preston club. From all reports they again did a magnificent job in hosting a major baseball event.
Does anyone know, though, where there is a complete listing of game results and final placings?

Southern Mariners won on forfeit after Yarra Rangers had no pitching left. Sunraysia beat Latrobe Valley So our representatives in QLD will be Southern Mariners led by John Carlisle and Sunraysia led by Troy Kortekaas. Scores unknown! www.baseballvictoria.com.au/cm/Fixture.asp?CID=2886

sunraysia beat us 10 or 11-4 i think in an enjoyable contest. Well done to them and good luck. It was a bit dissapointing to see the lack of country sides and while it is tough to get kids as it is our offseason it was a great oppertunity and i know our kids will be better off for it

I would like to congratulate all the players and coaches that took part in the under 12 championships at the Preston Pirates home. From what I was able to see we have a huge bunch of talented kids coming through the ranks. Well done to all the coaches for preparing the players so well, Baseball is in good hands.
Sometimes we forget the reason why these championships go so well. It’s the individuals in the background working hard months prior to the tournaments that make it all come together. Coaches, club volunteers and Baseball Victoria in particular one David Zucchet. He worked his tail off along side us every day from 6.30am to when the last of us left the ground at around 7.30pm every day. I’m sure his day did not finish there either, with background paperwork to be completed. Not once did he stop and complain about anything, just motored along doing what need to be done. Great job David.
Our group of volunteers, the Red Shirts, did a outstanding job form setting up to catering to being great ambassadors, we hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much we did in hosting the State under 12 championships.
