In a bit of a quirk, all Division One teams play the their opponent from Tuesday night. Sandringham is forced to play a home game at Cheltenham's outer ground due to the Royals ground being used as a car park for the golf and Ormond-Glenhuntly's being used by a group of fourth grade cricketers. I wouldn't know exactly when it was, but I'd envisage this would be the first Bonbeach-Chelsea match in a few years as well. Need I mention everyone is playing Saturday?
Good luck to all players, coaches and officials for the weekend.
Division One
Essendon v Waverley Fitzroy v UFTG Preston v Melbourne Geelong v Malvern Werribee v Cheltenham Doncaster v Blackburn (4pm start)
Division Two
Berwick City v Williamstown Bonbeach v Chelsea Sandringham v Ormond-Glenhuntly (at Cheltenham outer) Springvale v Newport Sunshine v Moorabbin Waverley Wildcats v Port Melbourne St Kilda v Mulgrave (4pm start)

Stu, I've been told that this is the first local derby since RJ was coaching. 2005 I believe. Chelsea's 3rds have forfeited so there should be a good crowd down at The Nest (Formerly The Bonnydome), to bring the 1's and 2's home.

Biggest test of the season this week for the rebels! At stkilda, minus a plethoura of stars, will surely test the depth, but with Dan on the bump, were still very much a chance. And a mouthwatering clash in div 1 with essendon and waverley going at it!

Will you be pitching for the 3's this week Wyatt? With St Kilda undefeated we may need your pitching prowess to keep their bats quiet. (Unless of course if you keep slotting them c*** high)

I haven't been down to the club for a while but I am pretty sure St.Kilda have about 20 absent this week too, at least going by the team lists on their website. So it'll definitely be a similar situation for both clubs. Guess it'll just come down to which club can cover their losses the greatest through all 4 grades.

Rebels over sandy at altona, 2-0. Ewan'the whiz' John having a great outing on the bump. The coach Ash' see my triple' winton, got, well, a nice triple! Well he told me it was a nice one. Didn't even have one cheek on the seat and he was all over it! Good job boys, but again, a tough game at home against sunshine on the weekend. No easy games!

Just to clarify an earlier ambigious point, I am pleased to say that I think (as at today) common sense has prevailed and my faith in the sport being 'nurtured/grown' in Victoria is again seemingly/reportedly about to be restored :-)

I see Whitey was charged for 'Deliberate time wasting', how can trying to give signals to a batter in a 1-0 ball game in the last innings, with a runner of 1st be time wasting?

sad but true...i hear that David got a reprimand. Is it possible that the tribunal are getting sick of the constant line of offenders being directed there by the same guy. It was a relief that it wasn’t Stuart this time as I’m sure he would have got 6 weeks plus 4 suspended.
