I would like to say a personal congratulations to all the girls (U13's and U17's) that competed at the third annual Junior Girls Friendship Series over the weekend.
This was the first time Victoria has sent teams away and it was a great success.
Unfortunately the U17's couldn't put a win on the board but can hold their heads very high after playing some very competitive games against some very strong opposition that had several state players on their teams.
Our U13 girls finished the round robin undefeated but unfortunately couldn't pull off a win in the Grand Final going down to NSW.
Thanks again to all the parents and coaches who contributed to getting the girls to Queensland to play in the Series.
This is now the time for people to step up to the plate and help out to get a Junior Girls competition up and running.
Good luck to all the girls that competed, at their clubs for the remainder of the winter season and the upcoming summer season.
