still talking to him, at this stage probably not. he is a bit disappointed about the whole thing. It’s interesting to see this unfold, here is a guy that apart from his trip to Australia has never been out of his country. He has played baseball all his life and has never worked or done anything else apart from playing baseball. Gets a chance to play in the US and show case himself and bang can’t go. Maybe he’ll have a chance to play industrial league in Japan where they work in the morning and then play for the company in the afternoon. At 24 it looks like it’s all over except if he comes over here plays in our ABL does well and maybe gets signed. Hope we can help him he is a really nice guy with baseball talent, what most don’t know is he carried an injury during our season so we did not see the best of him. our ABL is going to give lots opportunities to guys that were overlooked or released, I hope we all really support it and at the same time see some great baseball talent.

I hope he does come back, if not for the Aces, for Preston as he was quality all the way and I'm sure the Pirates would love to have him pitch for them in Division One this coming season.

yes would be great to have him back for sure.....pirates building very nicely though with a huge challenge ahead and thanks to BV for a warm welcome back to Div one with a round one fixture with Essendon at Essendon. Got to play them sometime I suppose although later in the season when a lot of their players would be playing with the Aces would have been a little better.

I think this is the best part of the ABL. Seeing those players flourish again such as Oxspring and getting another chance in the states. Kind of similar to the A League, but without the massive $$$. I also like following the guys over seas and then having, what 80%?, of the MiLB + MLB guys come back over and play here for us Aussie fans. I think it's great, as long as they keep interacting with fans, unlike some of the other sports in Australia, I like to think the ball players coming back from OS are a little more grounded and respect their fans. Mark.
