at this point we are looking at baseball pants with some sort of a playing top, on top. and a hat.
thats all i can confirm, however rumors of something pale blue or something grey with a pinstripe have been floating about.
will let you know more when i know more (which may well be around the time of the first pitch come Saturday)
big thanks to Marton Marek and James Dann for getting the team up and running, very excited. go City

As you can see with 10 teams this year, the carnival is alive and kicking and the momentum is starting to build again like the good old days. Last year in Mildura is the strongest l have seen the carnival in a long time, 2011 looks even bigger. Well done to the organisers, having 10 teams can’t be easy.
MWBL Prez Mark Le Grew presented the boys with their DV hats last night and the guys are keen, especially now that they know we have booked a 2 story beach house in Ocean Grove with a 12 seater spa. Take your pick for the recovery session boys, spa or the freezing cold beach!
Loving the draw on Sunday morning, 11.45am game is a little better than the 9.00am start the other teams have.
Looking at the line-ups there are plenty of quality players in all the teams and it is great to see Ballarat & City back. Looking forward to seeing the new City uniform, surely they won’t be as sharp as the previous powder blue uniforms.
To all the Diamond Valley supporters that may venture down to Geelong on Saturday, we would like you to join us at the Barwon Heads Hotel for our team dinner.

Those 2:45am games are gonna destroy any partying the teams have planned, or the pubs might close early and have 1000's of drunks watching the games. Maybe the timings could be fixed

Just read KC's review on the GBA website, great reading with plenty of history. Even managed to get myself mentioned. Will miss this weekend, working interstate, - hope eveyone has a great weekend as always. 6 for - I picked you last year but I think the parties over. Geelong for me, with Ballarat a bit of a smokie.

No games on tonight, skinny. I wasn't there today, but someone else might know where the action is at tonight. Semi-Finals start at 10.00 Monday. Finals at 1.00 PM. Semi-Final draw should be posted in next hour or so. Geelong, Dandenong, Diamond Valley and Latrobe Valley will play in Divvy One finals, North-East, Sunraysia, Ballarat and Bendigo in Divvy Two. www.geelongassociation.baseball.com.au/?ID=74455

IGH, care to elaborate? Surely the DBA boys weren't throwing haymakers after winning?
Big 7/8 run 2nd inning for 1 out set them up early, they hit everything hard that Egan threw, and added a few more off Barnes I think. Was about 12-0 when Geelong put 2 back on, and I left shortly after, missed the last 50 mins.

Final score 10-8, after Dandy smacked seven in the second. I thought their boys and supporters were relatively subdued and humble after going through the weekend undefeated (though I left soon after the game). It was a great effort after winning Divvy Two last year. Geelong offence hit back hard but that one innings did the damage. Blake Cunningham went the distance for Dandenong. Matt Ryan smashed the ball for Geelong (including a two-run scoring triple towards the end). Sunraysia won Division Two 3-1 over North-East in a decent standard game. Further info and images on GBA website later tonight. www.geelongassociation.baseball.com.au

No roome for that wishwash here ingrown, focus on the event. Great weeekend, bit tired, but Great win to the DBA Men.Especially the last play,2nd baseman get the hard hit groundball, stays down to allow for the groundball through the leg bounce, gets it off the palm of the glove, ball rolls approximately 2.57feet behind him (is that a real measurement?) ,2nd Baseman pivots, reaches out for the ball (exciting stuff, here comes the climax) then spins and fires a bullet to the 1st baseman which almost threw him back into the dugout, such Velocitee, hehe,to end the game!! oh! and yes, i was the 2nd baseman. hehe. What a game,What great hosts, what a great effort to all involved, especially the grounds people. Today, was, Baseball day. On a side note, Cain Bumpstead is in Custody tonight for stealing hits off of Geelong batters. Game winning performance at 3rd base today!

yeah Sunraysia just too good for us today! Good solid game of baseball to be involved in. Sunraysia's pitches just pitched a great game. Well done to all involved over the weekend. Was great to catch up with some individuals I have not seen in a long time.
Cheers

I've messaged BV for a list of All-Stars, Ace.
Had an idea that they would be posted on the BV website, but apparently not.

It was great to see a City team back on board after all these years, Dave.
The clubs and their workers indeed did a fantastic job, especially after so much rain had fallen during the week.
Next year? Well, my mail is that the Carnival will return to Geelong. Someone may be able to confirm this, but I believe that the policy may now be to play two successive years at a particular venue before moving (such as the ABF is doing with under-aged nationals).

Top weekend for watching ball! Must admit was expecting a DVA v GBA final, but like most was expecting Ceelong to win the final. Just in that 2nd inning I havent seen many teams have their full lineup hit the ball that cleanly, and they showed the old adage that if you give good teams extra outs - they make you pay. First the error on the bunt, then the bunt down 3rd that was picked up on the line - and DBA made great use. Congrats to them - well deserved. Watching a few games of the DBA too they seemed to gel very well together and didnt seem to coast through any games (I mean by play not by score).
Didnt see the Div 2 final, but by looking at the score must have been a good pitching game. Not surprising that Sunraysia got up over North-East, they seem to hold the wood over them lately. Again well done Sunraysia by getting 2 teams together again, not bad for a league with 5 teams, its a great example to other league and teams!
So have the all-stars been announced as yet? Anyone have any tips/bolters/surprises that could be apart of those teams?

I'll move this topic back to Geelong Champs from the winter rumor mill.....so it seems the DBA team have done it again and trashed their accommodation but according to reports the room wasn't trashed, just the castor on the bed rooted and beer on the floor!!!!!! The last time I commented on this was from being a team EO trying to get accommodation in towns and having baseball teams exploits go before me and getting the cold shoulder, my situation now is a motel/caravan park owner and I can tell you all that nothing p!sses a property owner off more than sh!t happening in their rooms, doesn't matter that it's JUST a busted castor and SOME beer on the carpet..........the friggin castor has to be replaced and the bloody carpet cleaned you morons before the room can be let again and the smell got rid of which necessitates putting an Ionisor in the room for 6 hours, stuff idiots wouldn't even think of when they drop their cans and food on the floor. Get a brain you knobheads, it shouldn't happen anywhere but hopefully it's not at the Association Sponsor's property!!!!!!!!!!!!

From whats been said here, I think the only thing that was dumber, was choosing to use the rookies room as the half way house and then letting them take the fall.
