From Tournament Rules, wyatt:
1. MINIMUM AGE. All players shall meet the minimum age requirements as set from year to year (for example, 35 and over, 40 and over, 45 and over). To play in any age group, a player is required to be the minimum age at the time of playing his first game at the Carnival. Date of birth is required on Entry Forms and proof of age may be requested.
For 2012, the age groups are 35 plus and 45 plus with some flexibility possible for the older group (EG a non-pitching 44 year-old or two could be allowed to play where teammates were all clearly over the minimum age).

As a rookie to this tournament last year, I can not sing it's praises enough!!!!
If you can get a pass from the missus/kids/work, sign up. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.
p.s. Not sure who to play with? PM Authentic, you won't find a better bloke or a guy with more Masters knowledge or passion.

As a matter of fact KC, after a week in Bali I can report I'm in great shape for the masters - as long as Wearney doesn't want me to hit, throw, run or field. Has the bar got Bintang though?

Has the bar got Bintang though? gj, you can do all four mate....'HIT the bar' .... 'be last seen THROWing-up as you made a RUN for the dunnies' .... and then 'FIELD a million questions' the next morning as to what you got up too the night before !

Just want to wish everyone good luck at Ballarat, sadly will miss due to fractured ankle from masters semi the other week ( last ever slide), toyed with going up to watch but crutches and alcohol may lead to more broken bones. Have a great time. cheers fuzzy

Happy to report from Ballarat that the weather is a pleasant surprise. Quite warm, warm enough to be hanging out in shorts.
If this keeps up for the weekend may have to pickup some sunscreen.
Looking forward to a great few days as per normal

Just to confirm that Springy/Tomatoes won the Div1 45+ over Coburg in a close one.
Sandy beat Newport in the Div2 45+
And Guild beat Springy/Tomatoes in the 35+ game that went into extras.
Our 2 Buc's teams were competitive in the 35+ and Div1 45+ but fell a bit short, but our group had a great time again, the weather was great, and the new diamond a fantastic upgrade (thanks KC, all the other players and support staff etc and the Ballarat crew including the Blue's).
Brilliant 3 days !

You catch up with a wrap of the 2012 Masters Tournament that has been compiled by KC You can view it at www.vicmasters.baseball.com.au/Another year, another great tournament. Congrats to KC, Wacka and all the Brew Crew for a great job. The new main diamond was a huge success and the word from all players were that the lights were excellent. The Friday night under lights game was well attended (yep, happy hour certainly helped), and hopefully it will continue into the future at both Ballarat or Geelong. The standard of the teams has risen over the years and there was heaps of highlights over the tournament.

Thanks partner.
As always, it was a pleasure to be involved in an uplifting event that is invariably great fun and keeps baseball tragics of all ages and all backgrounds engaged positively in the sport.
All feedback is welcomed.
A date and a venue for 2013 will be set in the next several weeks. Depending on scheduling of the BV season, the dates will be either 22-24 March (week before Easter) or 5-7 April (week after Easter).
If the series keeps growing at the rate that it has been, we might even have to think about reverting back to its original four days!

As for the jacket, 1st thing that comes to mind is it could possibly be Dave Rosser of the Junior Big Cats. Being as he was down from Sydney for the tournament. I have sent him a message on Facebook to give him a heads-up just incase
