I heard a rumour KC that some of the ACES boys are not happy with the music or walkup songs played for them in Brisbane Surely not !!! sack that Bandits Music bloke I reckon. He is Sh1te Either way, next 2 games are very important for both Aces and Bandits. That's funny TL. I think the Aces boys have a sense of humour but might be cringing at the corny choice of intro music. "Old McDonald had a farm" for Tmac and "Dancing Queen" for Rutgers. And the animal noises from the pigpen just tops it off. I did see a first last night though. A 1 run ball game going into the 9th and we had a 30 minute delay to watch a fireworks display in cf. Then completed the game. You guys do it different up here but I have seen some good quality, entertaining baseball this series from both teams.

That's interesting ddd! I heard you were on a junket up there acting busy and are you sure you didn't slide over and light the fuse of the fireworks for old times sake ?

Managed to get to two games this series, watched the Fireworks in the 8th (!) on Saturday, then the win for the Bandits yesterday (Strong start from Morriss but went down hill pretty quick). Even got box seats yesterday!
Gotta say the Aces are a strong team, and also very polite! A big shout out to Mr Wearne who signed my jersey.
Love watching Huber play as well.
Canberra here we come!
Mark.

Not a bad result to split the series. Really need to cut down the errors on the road. Looks like they missed Russell. Need to take 3/4 against Adelaide and a split with Perth over the final 2 sets and we should get that number 2 seed (expecting a split with Adelaide and Bris, and Sydney to with 3/4 against Adelaide).
Could even get the number 1 seed if we can take 6 or 7 from the 8 Perth games.

Disappointing that we didn't get out of it with at least a 3-1 record.
It will prove tough filling the offensive loss of our Japanese friends and because of this we need all our batters to take a step up and own their times at bat.
Looking forward to the 2 upcoming home series against the Bite and the Heat. If we want to retain our chances of finishing in top position we need to take at least 6 of the 8.
Will be a very interesting ladder when it gets to the last round.

Cherish the league standings screengrab, Stu. Imports going home, teams finding form, close W/L, topsy turvey results in general. Over the next few weeks the standings could be anywhere. [/quote] 8 days whezzer not 2 weeks. On the 30/12/2010,, Old stucapel posts with pride the aces are in first place, now 8 days later the bandits are breathing down your neck looking to push you down to 5th, nice work stu. Popped off a bit early

Aces will be fine starter - they will rebound.
At least when they beat Canberra, they didn't need extra's every second night!!
