Aces visit Sydney to visit the co-ladder leading Blue Sox over the weekend.
Haven't seen a roster for this weekend's series so am uaware of what (if any) changes have been made.
Blue Sox are 6-2 at home, with the Aces 2-6 on the road.

I'd make 2 changes. Need a new 1B. Hitting 0.050 isn't good enough. Also, that catcher batting 0.400+ needs to move out of the 9 hole and into the heart of the lineup.

I hope Travis makes it to the Brisbane series later in the year. Would love to see him pitch live. I assumed he'd head back to the states once he'd signed his new deal with the Mets.
d**n- Blackley, Bright, Lindsay. Thats some strong arms there.

Disappointing they don't seem to be putting up roster changes on league transactions anymore

The rain looks to be skirting Blacktown so hopefully they will get a full game in.
Unfortunately an early casualty of the weather looks to be the online link to Triplehfm. Weather must have taken out their transmission tower.
Dead as a dodo at the moment.

Also, that catcher batting 0.400+ needs to move out of the 9 hole and into the heart of the lineup. davies has been playing first base recently... new DH is what we need... and if karlsen is getting the job done in the 9 hole, why not leave him there as the 3,4,5 spots seem pretty set with russell, kamei and davies!

In 8 games Karlsen has 4 extra base hits (1 HR) and 6 RBIs.
Russell has 2 extra base hits (1 HR) and 5 RBIs from 10 games.
Kamei has only played the 3 games, and I didn't get to see him in action due to the washouts.
Davies has 6 extra base hits (2 HR) and 6 RBIs from his 10 games.
Seems like he has middle of the lineup production. Maybe because he is catching to give him a rest he is down the lineup, or perhaps to knock in the 6-7-8 hitters who get on base all the time...oh wait...

Things are not looking good on the Sydney radar. Odds are against any games tonight.
Shame, STMF is named to open on the mound in his 1st game back.

Game 2 which was due to start at 5pm has been called of due to weather. Rescheduled for 11am tomorrow.
Game 3 is now scheduled to start at approx 7.30 if weather improves. At this stage it seems highly unlikely that it will go ahead. They will give an update at approx 6.30pm

Aces have a double header today and they're on the board early in the first with a home run to Yoshiyuki Kamei. Travis Blackley has the start.

For those unaware, both of todays games are being broadcast online at triplehfm.stream.integritynet.com.au/triplehfmWhilst the online scorebook says its Adam B on the mound, the broadcasters are calling its actually Travis. As Travis was scheduled to start yesterday I would more likely say the broadcasters are correct. Update: The scorers have corrected it now. Officially listed as Trav

Looks like the scorers have struggled with adjusting to the tiebreaking procedures and the final scoreboard isn't up. Hate to question the ABL, but after a 2.5 hour delay why didn't they just call the first one a complete game. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but probably would have allowed for a result in the second game.
Update: Poor Graham and Karlsen both got charged with CI's. Scorers will have to adjust PA and OBP..

With the inbuilt scoreboard system written for US Minors, I wonder if it can show a half game win at all ??
The ABF MyComp system does.

OK so now we have a few problems in the box with Huber now batting .057, Tamburrino .075, Davies and Karlsen (who have been our hitting players) both went 0 for the weekend. Are we at panic stations with out hitting line up yet?

I have noticed that they have announced that there will be 5 games played this weekend Aces Vs Sox.
Single Friday night (7pm)
Double Saturday (4.30pm & 7pm)
Double Sunday (11am and 3pm)
This is a result of of last weeks washout in Sydney.
Will they allow an extended roster to accommodate ?

Ironically there is a chance that these rain-out replacement games will be... rained out.

Wait until the three double headers in the week before Christmas is announced, as I think it will be soon.

Oh NO....I can hear it now..."with our overused club representatives propping up the Aces, we have found it difficult"...guess which club? what it doesn't mention is quite a few of the regular players from last years winning side are hitting around the mendoza.

Goblin........the roster has been expanded by 1 for this series. My information is that there will be 1 x 9 inning game Friday, 1 x 7 & 1 x 9 Saturday and 2 x 7 Sunday producing 39 total innings for the series. An increase of 5 inning over the regular 4 game series of 3 x 9 and 1 x 7. As always I stand corrected however I believe my info to be accurate on this occassion. Look forward to seeing you there.

And I look forward to being there to take in the 5 games.
With start times of 11am and 3pm Sunday I would have thought that the 1st game would have been 9 inns.
Whatever it is, I will be there.

How the heck does that relate to SC's post.. A bit if you think about it plus I am sick to death of hearing about the weather and how it has affected the season. In other areas of baseball media it is common place that a teams correspondant aligns their fortunes on whether they have their full side in or not, if 3 games effects the performance what will 6 games do to it was my reasoning but more to the point, don't blame the Aces games, look a bit within and get last seasons studs to step up and get on base and drive them in which they haven't been doing. And, other teams have had or not had their stars in place for a part of or most of the season for various reasons as well, lets setup a woe as me thread for all those teams. Bit of stirring cause the weather's giving me the SH!ts and not just for baseball!!!!!!!!!!
