Anyone reckon Sportsbet (or similar) would tote this season?
I'm not a betting man myself but knowing so little about baseball players, would love to see the odds.

Wow - gotta wonder how insightful those price swings are. I have no idea really. Would be good to see place volume.
Going by what I've heard (listening to people who actually know the players), would have thought Sydney more of a favorite, and am surprised to see Brisbane so outside.

The place market would have to be a 1-2 finish with only 6 starters. Without confessing to know much about the other rosters Sydney looks reasonable value. Canberra are interesting and seemingly have a quite a few Lotte Giants (Korean) players coming over

Surely you'd put Perth ahead of Canberra? Wouldn't mind a note on Brisbane at $8 though

Overnight Sydney into $4 - Aces out to $3.50 at Centrebet (could the bookies be reading this ? - if so the Aces have no chance ).

I'd have dropped the Bite a bit lower and had Syd 2nd Fav (such a roster!). I guess the Bris price comes from QLD poor showing in the last Claxton Shield. Hopefully an extra years experience from both players and coach will help!

Email from Betstar:
we unfortunately will not be at this stage, however, we are continually review our products and services so we can not rule a market for ABL in the coming future
Cheers,

8-1 Bandits in a 6 Horse race ... Good value IMO.. I'm already on it for C_note before Bandits shorten. Bluesox next best bet.

I'm with you TL. Not sure how good the Nippon imports are but the Bandits are worth a shake at $8.50.
Bluesox price now reflecting my personal feeling that they're the favourites this year.
How about the Bite? Adelaide importing some great hitting for $5.00.

Very open market. In fact generous odds for all clubs on the basis of what we know. Expect the Aces and Heat to shorten considerably after their first rounds. The Aces currently at four bucks? Jeez, money for jam...... Get on the 8.5, Tex. You're a man with deep pockets and a sense of humour. ;D

Turns out the bookies get along well with the baseball gods KC. Who else could have possibly tipped them off about the Aces disasterous start?

At the risk of suggesting that gambling is a good thing (because its not if you actually want to save money)....the $9 at Sportingbet at the moment for the Aces to win it all this season is Very VERY good value

Authentic, without doubt the best thing about the ABL retuning to the Australian sporting landscape is the ability to bet on it. In future could you please keep the negative comments to gambling to yourself. Go the Aces!! or Bite!! maybe Bandits!! Well whoever I have backed.
