What a surprise, pakkyp bites! I can't beleive pakkyp told us he has ingrownhairs in his pooper! I happen to think a dirty sanchez is a sign of affection! Get back to Shane Lindsay or are you going to bite just 1 more time? I'll leave the biting to you and your pillows...

Best wishes to Shane. I have it on very (very) good authority that he is doing well in Phoenix and is looking fit and raring to go. He was at the Diamondbacks / Rockies game at Chase Field last Friday. Spiked hair and all ! It's the bYankees loss, Indians gain.

I think some people here may not understand what has been happening here. Shane has been claimed by both the Yankees and the Indians. When a club claims a player on waivers they must place them on the 40 man roster. If a player is removed fromthe 40 he can be claimed by any club but must be placed on their 40. The removal if a player from the 40 man doesnt mean they are not wanted by the organization but they do risk losing that player.

The way my Tribe are performing it wont take long for Shane to be in "The Show". We will trade Kerry Wood and Jake Westbrook leaving a spot open for him. Anyone else want to have a go give Mark Shapiro a call.

...........Hot off the Press ......
In breaking news we hear from our sources inside the Cleveland Indians organization, AJ "scoop" Kelly, that Shane has overnight been called up to the Indians AAA side, the Columbus Clippers, and is expected to pitch in todays game.
Keep up the great work Shane......and "scoop"

Not exactly a scoop Goblin, anyone who was a friend of mine on facebook new about this 14 hours ago. I was with Shane a couple of days ago and he texted me early this morning. He sounded a bit tired when I spoke to him this afternoon, so I'm not surprised he didn't fare too well backing up after throwing last night and then having to travel a few hundred miles.

Pardon me for taking poetic license with the post. Unlike your self, at least I thought it noteworthy enough to post in the forum to all once I was made aware of it.

Sorry Goblin, it was never meant to be a chip, just another case of the written word being taken out of context. As far as I'm concerned KC and yourself can take as much poetic license as you want, I think you both do a great job. It's a little easier for me to update Facebook while I'm on the road than the Forum. Anyway the latest update on Shane is that he is Colombus OH and should be throwing tonight. When I spoke to him this morning he said the weather was in the high 90's and it was around 90% humidity.

Good morning all
I've just returned from a month or so in the states and am still living with a bit of "jet lag" so I'm up at 4:30am having a gig at the forum! I was in constant contact with Shane while I was in the states and he is doing great. Looks in very good nick and the ball is doing what he wants it to do. I spoke with Shane following his recent AAA outing and he seemed pleased with his outing. The 1st walk he issued in his 2nd Inning was a tough AB then followed up with a 2nd BB then induced a GB double play to get out of the inning. I spent some time at the Rockies Spring Training and although we placed him on waivers which set him on his journey he still has a lot of support from people within the organization and a lot of those same people pulling for him. He certainly left a great impression in Colorado. Let's hope Shane continues on his ascent in the baseball world and realises the goal of all players who sign a professional contract. I know he is in a good place mentally & physically and I'm sure that he has, and continues to, put his best foot forward every time he toes the rubber within the White Sox organization. And I, like many of you out there, am excited by the prospect of Shane taking one more giant step.

Shane Lindsay had another outing today, finishing off the last 2 outs against the Yankees AAA affiliate, he allowed 1 BB with no runs or hits. He threw 13 pitches for 7 strikes. Still looking good! On a side note do we know if they are working with Andrew Russell and what his outlook is? So far his stats with the Lynchburg Hillcats (A+) are horrible, i would think they might send him back to extended spring training: 21.60 era, 4 games, 3.1 inns, 11 hits, 10 runs (8ER), 2 BB, 5 SO web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=599696

Look like he's started walking fewer batters as well...that's great to see!
5 in last 12 IP. 16k. Heading in the right direction it would seem.

Opposition hitters are batting .071 against him. Righties have gone 1 from 40 with 16 K's. Pretty impressive stuff.

He's gotta be looking at a late season call up once expanded rosters take effect. Surely.

Excellent article that appeared in Charlotte Observer today. Knights reliever finds happiness can be 'so sick'"FORT MILL When Shane Lindsay is moved, impressed or excited, he yells, "So sick!" He often is moved, impressed and excited." "He's got a baseball mentality," Dotson says. (Charlotte Manager) He has an NFL mentality, too. Before Lindsay runs to the mound, he asks a teammate to slap him so hard his eyes water. The designated slapper was Brian Bruney. Despite this, the White Sox called Bruney up. So Josh Kinney replaced him. Kinney is just as effective, sources say." Check out the full story at the link below www.charlotteobserver.com/2011/07/07/2434221/knights-reliever-finds-happiness.html
