well chin, I know a lot of guys who think your a stick to play against... might even call you an a-hole on the field (Don't think you'd really care bout that, it's how you play the game) but you'd still have a beer and laugh with them post game and they'd do the same. Some people just can't do that. If you've got a personal problem with someone, that's fine - get therapy.

well like I said, I dont support his views but I thought you were discussing if he knew anything - I would say he did. But it seems now if we are discussing if he is a good guy or not?? Make up your minds boys... i'm not getting into any arguments on who is a good guy and who isnt - period.
And no, I go to bed when I like - but thanks for your concern.
I like that guys think i'm a stick to play against, thats the whole idea. I want guys to hate playing against me. There are guys I hate playing against as well - Spearsy is one bloke that comes to mind, I guarantee we will have a good chat after the game though. I know he would say the same thing about me - I hate the bloke when I play him because he wants to beat me as bad as I want to beat him.
As for guys who I dont like off the field - there are a few of those too but i'm smart enough not to name them or bag the on this forum. I am sure as sh*t there are plenty of blokes who don't like me off the field as well - big deal, doesnt affect me in the slightest. thats their problem, not mine.

If only you guys new why i disliked him so much. I'm not gonna go into it and call him out but he surely knows who it would be that dislikes him this much. I have never taken the shot at him that god knows i want to and if put in the position to have a crack i'm not even sure it would be worth it. It was a long time ago and i can leave it be. I realise there are some of you that are myles fans, so he must be an alright bloke, just i never seen it. Ever since i was 15 he has been a stick to me and time has only grown my hatred for him. I apologise to yall who are friends of him, i would defend my mates too. As for him, i can't yet apologise, but i can put the past behind me. If for some reason an altercation came about between us again though, i can't promise i wont drill him with my best, as i would to anyone who deserved it during a game. As for now i'll leave it in the past and move on. Sorry to all who didnt appreciate my remarks

stmf....you're a good guy, I know because I've had a bit to do with you at a couple of different levels. Take my advice, leave this one alone....hate is a very negative emotion and you are much better than that. After all, this thing that we chase with a passion, is only a game. Whoever this guy is giving you grief, for whatever reason, let it go, you'll feel a whole lot better. Life has a lot to offer you but it's tough if you keep looking in the rear view mirror!! Take care

GBA is a tricky one, with some guys playing in multiple positions this season. This is on the basis of those available if the team had to play tomorrow (IE leaving out the likes of Nick Spence, Josh Lee, Ryan Stewart, Dale Ricketts). Doesn't seem to have been the strongest hitting league this season, so preference goes to blokes showing some form with the bat. Starting Pitcher: Rory Meddick (Brewers) Catcher: Ben Jensz (Guild, adequate beind the dish and hitting 380) First Base: Earl Byrne (Bacchus Marsh, handy glove and good hitter in the clutch) Second Base: Ryan Darcy (Guild, great coverage and high on-base percentage) Third Base: Ross Wilson (Lara, can also throw a few, can run and can hit) Short-Stop (Difficult - on form, maybe Landthaler from Guild) Outfield in no particular order: you'd have to somewhere include Cameron Forbes (Lara), Shaun Moore (Bacchus) and Adam Irons (Brewers), all for their all-round ability and athleticism. DH: Marcel Ernstzen (Saints), though Meddick has been hitting OK for himself Coach: Craig Malthouse (Deakin) Bench: Hipke (Brewers), Moulton (Guild), Box and Lowe (both Werribee)

Duke, agree with you on a few but I think there are some others worth serious consideration as well, just throwing it out there and i know it's all opinion. Same criteria, must be available tomorrow, in brackets are those without that criteria.
Starting Pitcher: Rory Meddick Catcher: Ben Jensz (Dale Ricketts) First Base: Dean Jones (Nick Spence) Second Base: Ryan Darcy Third Base: Ross Wilson Short Stop: Mark Jeffery Outfield: Cameron Forbes, Stuart Forbes, Ben Hammer, Liam Vickers, (Josh Lee) D/H: Lyndon Hockey or Nathan Holmes Relief Pitchers: Stuart Barnes, Ross Hipke, Ross Wilson, (Josh Lee) Coach: Michael Darcy Bench: Moulton (SP), Irons (SP) Daryl George, Nathan McKenzie, Marcel Ernstzen

No argument from me with the hypothethical inclusion of any of the other players you mention, ol' racer. It's been a competition dominated by a number of quality pitchers, with most offences struggling to produce on a regular basis. Dean Jones as an alternative at first? Why not? Dangerous hitter and a real gamer. Jeffery at SS? Getting a bit long in the tooth, but has been the most consistent in that spot without doing heaps with the bat. And you'd always like Stuart Forbes and Hammer in the outfield set-up.
I think that Malthouse has been the coaching story of the year. But if the Lions get through to the big one, Darc will have been a major factor.

Malty has done extremely well with his troop of youngsters and probably deserves the gong and he will be the undisputed coach of the league when they make the finals in 2 years time. The inclusions of Humphrey, Edlich, Biddle and possibly Cameron Clarke will give him the core group to his youngsters. Dreaming..........not all that improbable.
