Congratulations to the Aces for what is somewhat of a coup. Good luck to Jon and the team for the coming season.

Just realised....the great man (above) is giving me that familiar bemused look.
You know the one. It's like, "You old fart, do you really think you can throw that thing past me...?"
Course I can't, but look out for my nude ball....it's got nothing on it (bit like my head).
In all seriousness, best wishes to Deebs, his staff and his players for a successful ABL season in 2016/17.
For this league to have a viable future, we need strong clubs. Under current structure, SIX strong clubs.

Great to have an Australian guy coaching in Melbourne again, and one of our own to boot. The last few years the league has had a feel of treading water and a strong reason for this in my opinion has been a lack of Australian’s in the coaching boxes and on the field. This is the AUSTRALIAN Baseball League we should be giving 1st, 2nd and 3rd options to Australians. This will improve the standard of our players, the results of our national team and eventually public interest in our sport.
As an ex Ace, Monarch and Claxton Shield vet I’m excited to have Jon back on board and see the Aces climb back to the top of the ABL ladder where Victoria belong.
