Perfect conditions as well across the GBA, where Bellarine and Lara slugged out a 10-10 draw, Mounties hung on 9-7 over Werribee and Deakin strengthened its hold on second with a 4-1 win over Saints. Guild had the A Grade bye. www.geelongassociation.baseball.com.au/

Heathmont had a walk off win against Knox. The Penguins scored 4 runs in the bottom of the last to win 9 to 8. Mitch Ayres base hit knocked in the winning run. Ben Leslie, Daniel Mack and Nick Rossell each hit a home run. Jordan Elliott went deep for Knox. Adrian Rice pitched well but tired at the end.

Possibly one of the best weekends of weather for July saw The DBA A Grade turn in some big results. First of Frankston got the better of Berwick in a make or break game for either Club and the result saw frankston come out on top 11 to 6. Dandenong took on Pakenham who have in the past given Dandy some trouble, but it wasn't to be as the Angels dined on Puma meat to run out comfortable winners 16 to 2 consolidating Dandenong's position at the top of the ladder. And finally on Sunday Mornington traveled to Dingley to finish the round off and probably wished that the Pirates had played on Saturday as Dingley celebrated the Sabbath with a 9 to nil victory to keep their second spot on the ladder safe. Cheltenham had the bye this week. That leaves Dandenong on top with 21pts, Dingley 2nd with 20pts, Frankston 3rd with 18pts and Cheltenham rounds out the top four with 16pts just ahead of Mornington also on 16pts but percentage behind. Berwick is still sniffing around the four with 15pts just waiting for a chance to challenge. Bring on next week.
