Blackburn 2-1 over Sandy, Jake Tuck was very good for the Burners getting the win. Sam Street threw 6 shutout with 10 K's but the Royals bullpen couldn't hold on. Blackburn 5-2 in the 2nds and also won the 3's (not sure of the score), Sandy won the 4ths.

Rebels completed the regular season undefeated after another crushing victory at Pakky, 13-2. A dominant display by the rebel pitchers and hitting across the board saw the gravies take the bickies. Another dominant display in the magoos also with a 15-3 victory, sees both ones and twos playing finals for the first time in a while. A good win by the 3 at Doncaster and the 18's also getting a w, sees the pres possibly emptying his wallet over the bar on Wednesday after training, if the masters can continue their winning ways this evening.

I'm also curious....can anyone from stkilda shine some light on why their twos are missing from the finals campaign, after finishing on top of the ladder? They don't appear to be in the fixtire for next weeks finals.

Check the Grand Final tab Damo, they are there. some sort of glitch in the system hence why the Womens fixtures are all off line. Unless its a final 5 system

The glitch was apparently a team was given a win when they lost....and it cost that team a top three finish!

Sunshine went down to Waverley last night 0-3.
That now means with 1 rd remaining this Sat for Div 1 the top 2 in each side of the ledger are locked in.
The South side finals sees Melbourne and Cheltenham go up against each other and on the North Side Essendon and Geelong will fight it out.
At the other end of the ladder the last spots have been finalized after Sun went down to Wav last night.
As of now the win % of the bot 3 sides
Newp 33.33 Donc 29.17 Suns 29.17
The last rd sees
Newport vs Waverley @ Newport Doncaster Vs Sunshine @ Sunshine
Regardless of who wins what it will not change the final 2 bot sides.
This comes about as who ever wins the Donc vs Sunshine, Newport would win any tie breaker between them.
Even tho, their is still something for both Donc and Suns to fight for.
Whomever wins it will be official 2nd bot side and the loser the bot side.
If it turns out their is only one team eligible to come up to Div 1 after the 2s finals then what it means is it is best to finish 2nd last then last.
So, bot line Newport safe.

Went down and watch Moorabbin play Bonbeach in which at this time of the year proved to be a nothing game, the only plus that came out of the game for Moorabbin was some fringe players getting a go and Bonbeach without three of their netter players struggled. Moorabbin catcher wasn't happy for some reason and the decision makers had at times an indifferent night. Dayle Selleck had a fruitful night picking up a couple of hits and pitching well. Nobody from Moorabbin stood out but all just put in a solid effort. Well done to the Jays who have won nine games so far to double last season output, well done to the hard work Matty Prior has put in. Now is the time for Moorabbin to step up and stand tall with Werribee being the main c hallenge. From here on, it will be all or nothing or it will be another season lost.

Tell me, are both Moorabbin and Werribee able to be elevated...do they pass the criteria??

They have junior sides, in a charter, one would assume so. Both sides at present is several streets ahead of the rest in Div 2. Doesn't mean they will enough games in Div 1 but who knows.
