Thanks beaver. Sandy hosted Sunshine today and the visitors prevailed 9-6 and IMO the score flattered the hosts with Sunshine leading 9-1 going into the 8th. Sadly like my exams back at school too many errors for the Royals and the bats didn't get going till the 8th, Hello it's a 9 innings game not 2. Needed to get that out of my system. Sandy 2nds and 3rds and Sunshine 4ths won.

Trekked out to Fitzroy to catch up with me old mate Kingy, walked straight into filling in for the seconds as they were one short. Went to get a beer after the game only to be told that It was a dry ground for the day due to Goods Sports Promotion. It was still a great day with entertainment galore to come in the firsts game. Bonbeach scored in the first with Fitroy leveling in the first. The Jays scored the second run midway during the game to lead 2 to one. Then in the 6th the Jays broke away to land a three spot to lead 5 to 1. Fitzroy came back with one in the bottom half. Coming into the 9th Fitzroy hit back with three to level the game, (Now I am looking for a beer and so to was Kingy) The jays took the lead in the 11th and held Fitzroy out for a hard fought win. Good pitching from Jon Bannister and Benny Donald coupled with good hitting from Ben Donald gave the Jays their seventh win for the season. Congratulations to Fitzroy on the whole day and I wish them all the best in their endeavours to keep promoting the Good Sports brand. A job well done Kingy.

Rebels continued their white hot form with a win 11-1 @ footscray. A commanding pitching performance by Matty young for 7 inn and good relief by the hoogs, the bully's were never in the hunt. Two 3 run bombs, one by Rhys 'that's my brother!' Mac and one by the hitting monster nick Thompson, plus the usual 40 hits by Lincoln ladds made it tough for the home team. The twos also dominated off the back of good pitching by the the Cookie Monster, and hitting across the board, only to see the end result dwindle to a 7-5 win, giving up 5 in the bottom of the last dig. Thirds got wolloped 17-3 lacking some hooting with best player stuck umpiring. Never mind bounce back next week, with a super Sunday being held out at Wokka Poole Field, be great to see all the smiling faces out there for the final time this year. #REBELNATION......apparently that's the thing now?

Baycats 8 def Pirates 4 in the late show.
Pirates out to an early 2-0 lead were looking good until back-to-back-to-back doubles by the 7-8-9 Baycats saw the boys from Geelong take a 3-2 lead.
Scores stayed the same until late when the ever-green Dean Marnell laced a shot to centre- right. Looked like he might be stranded there after back-to-back Ks by Gibbons but a sneaky single and then in what could only be described as a master-stroke Godbold was called on to PH and he delivered a rocket to RF. A bad throw in from RF saw both runs score.
Jordy Ley in to close it out threw about 7-8 outs but the wheels fell off the Pirates defence and 5 runs crossed the plate. Some were "hot" chances but at the Div 1 level if you don't make those plays good teams like Geelong will make you pay. Zablan closed it out.
Young Spence went 3/4 (maybe 4/4 if scorers were kind to young 3B fir pirates) was probably the best with the bat.

Morning all, Would anyone know if we can submit a team sheet for player qualification if our opposition forfeits? I can't remember what the ruling is. We were awarded game points for the forfeit. Not a big issue, more curious than anything. Thanks in advance..

The Jays travelled out to Upwey last night in good conditions. The Tigers got away with a run in the second before the Jays struck back with three in the third and to never surrender the lead after that. Winning the game 3 to 2 with excellent pitching from Matty prior for 7 folloewd by Ben Donald to mop up. Kudos to Upwey for the tasty $1.00 hot dogs.
