I received this email from Baseball SA today:
Baseball in the Mitcham City Council
Dear SA Baseball Club Members,
You may be aware of the community challenges some SABL Clubs have faced over the past several years with obtaining pre-season training access and lease renewals.
Our colleagues in baseball at the Goodwood Baseball Club are facing significant challenges and need our support.
The GBC recently strongly encouraged their members to support Sturt BC’s survey and as a result many positive submissions were made.
I now encourage all SABL members to build on that momentum and register your support for Baseball in the Mitcham City Council.
Mitcham City Council have started an on-line survey with regard to Goodwood’s occupancy at their current home ground (Mortlock Park) and the Goodwood President has sent me the following message.
Currently there is a consultation process underway for the future of baseball on Mortlock Park within Colonel Light Gardens.
The Mitcham Council has placed an on-line survey on their website to gauge community reaction as to whether baseball should continue to be played on our ground.
The consultation closes at 5 pm Wednesday 20 March 2013 so your response would be appreciated now.
I urge you to take 2 minutes to fill in the On-Line Survey as we as a baseball community need to send a strong message of support!
Themes we as a Community Baseball Club are promoting in response to the survey are;
1. The Goodwood Baseball Club should be given appropriate access to Mortlock Park, including pre-season activities, to conduct organised sport.
2. Community Sporting Groups should be supported by Council in their use of larger Reserves for organised sporting activities.
3. (Mortlock Park) – “Yes” & “Should be More Formal Sport”.
4. a) Both Primary and Secondary Diamonds should remain to support Junior sport in the Community.
4. b) Cricket nets should be approved but as close to the Primary School as possible.
4. c) Dogs should be on-leash during school hours and when organised sport is being played.
4. d) Bike track should remain.
You can fill in the survey:

If you could sign it I'm sure it will help, the only catch is that it closes tomorrow, so you will have to act fast.
