Just checking if anyone is aware of what is happening with the Melbourne Vs Waverley game from the 7th of Nov.
I believe the game never went ahead due to unfit ground (maybe something to do with sprinklers soaking the ground.
Is anyone aware if game is going to be replayed or just declared a no game ala normal washout.
With Melb just behind Chelt in 5th spot. A replay with a Melb win would make it interesting.

yes have been watching this space with interest, from memory it was a mid week game so a draw was possible result. How is a flooded ground any different than a wash out. Call it a draw and move on I would think.

I could stand corrected here, partner, but I believe the game would be deemed a draw.
As pirates says, it would have the same status as any rained out game.
With Melbourne potentially challenging for a spot in the finals and with Waverley not yet certain of securing its Division One berth, it's easy to see that either club or both might be plugging to have the game rescheduled to a later date.
I can't see that it would happen, given the way that abandoned games have simply been written off for the past couple of seasons. It would be a departure from precedent, that's for sure. And it wouldn't be well accepted by any other club that could be impacted by the result of the game.

not sure how the game was status was called but for memory, we had recently had the outfield grass scarified and the council decided to water it very regularly.. Unfortunately, the watered it a little to much and Dunny decided not to allow the game to go ahead due to a care of duty..havent heard anything about that game as yet..

It is a washout in every mans language. No replay should even be contemplated.
