An affiliate of Geelong Baseball Association (winter), Ballarat City Baseball Club is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to help guide the club into a productive new era.
The oldest club in the region - with an impressive record dating back to 1931 – Ballarat City has been a stalwart of the Geelong Baseball Association, fielding multiple senior teams and regularly qualifying for A Grade finals since entering the league over thirty years ago.
Based at the recently upgraded Prince of Wales facility, the club boasts magnificent playing and associated facilities – including AAA game lighting, a fully synthetic infield, bullpen, batting tunnel, modernised clubrooms and ample parking.
Under a new and energised committee, the Ballarat Brewers are looking to the future with great optimism. The club is committed to a strengthening of its senior presence in the Geelong Baseball Association, nurturing of junior programmes and entry of senior teams to Summer League competition from as early as next year.
To help achieve its primary goals for the 2013 winter season, the club is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head Coach to oversee its senior playing list and to direct a player development group charged with helping deliver playing success and raising the profile of the baseball club in the sporting community.
It is anticipated that the club will provide appropriate assistance to the Head Coach in the form of specialist coaches and support staff, including training and game-day personnel to help spread the workload.
This is an exciting and potentially very rewarding position for the right candidate, who can expect to be generously remunerated for his work.
Initial expressions of interest should be forwarded to the Club Secretary Hamish Burrows by close of business on Friday 23 November 2012.
A shortlist of candidates will then be formulated for detailed consideration.
