Driving home this eve' I passed a field with a baseball game happening. Monday night...must be a Masters game me thinks. I pull over and park the car, wander to the refreshment provider, grab a chair and settle in for a few digs. What I got was the most fun baseball I've seen in years. Friendly banter and much laughter between team mates, between teams, between teams and the 'Blue' (He chipped in with good vibed banter as well)! These guys were having a ball and for the few digs I watched so did I with several LOL moments (that's laugh out loud for some of you younger readers). These guys obviously already have enough sheep stations. Gold.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, perfeckt.
Masters baseball has always had great potential as a good news story should your own organisation or one of the commercial providers care to pick it up.

You can't beat Masters Baseball. How many games can you play where ground rules are set and adhered to by the players and the Blue and ten proceed to laugh your head off for the next 105 minutes. Cracked it for a rare win and celebrated long and hard, Yay Masters. It's all about the beer and feed after the game that makes it magnificent.

Always a laugh. Three all draw Blackburn v Melbourne A last night.
As they say, if you can't laugh at yourself who can you laugh at. Just ask Scott Locklier who got to second then walked off the base and got tagged out as he though someone called foul. Oops

Exhibit #B - Our game Vs Fitzroy last night, sun setting, hitter in the box, pitcher pitches, ball seen out of the hand, then lost up into the sun, seen again above the sun half way down then back in the sun and invisable, hitter swings without a clue where the ball is, ball somehow goes down the third base line hits the bag and bounces 15 feet in the air, runner blinded and confused, 3rd baseman perplexed, runner wanders down the first base line and still makes it safe but gets called out by one of his own players who were helping Fitzroy umpire the game. Two lots of $2 fines and 10 minutes of riding both guys in true Masters fashion was followed by more of the same over a beer and pizza later. Great fun !

CATCHERS AND PITCHERS CAN GET A RUNNER? Are you f****** serious? When was I going to he told? And do masters that play Sunday as well get the use of runners? If anyone was fortunate to see me plod(not run) the bases on Sunday will confirm, I need to do something. Nearly as bad as having a blank out there....
