Has anyone noticed the link on the Aces site for the official game jerseys they're selling? To be honest I think the uniform looks "Ace", pun intended. When I saw the link I thought to myself I might get myself one of those. Clicked my way through a couple more link to get me where I needed to be. $325.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are they serious? Throw in about an extra pineapple and you can get a GAME WORN MLB jersey out of the states. I'm all for promoting the brand and also for making a tidy profit, I am a sales manager after all but seriously, half of that is still a tad on the steep side. If you have to sell these things for that much to make a tidy profit it might be time to find a new uniform supplier.

If you have to sell these things for that much to make a tidy profit it might be time to find a new uniform supplier. Quoted sentence hits the nail on the head from my perspective. I reckon ABL will do something different with the jerseys soon. Right now, I would guess there is an obligation with Majestic due to sponsorship contracting, potential intellectual property ownership and of course the fact that it's who MLB use. Online stores side-by-side, ABL merch is universally twice the cost of MLB merch which you could put down to logistics as well as much less of everything being manufactured (higher production cost per unit). Considering all this and the fact that it's early days, I would guess the choice was either $325 from Majestic or nothing at all. Looking forward, the league is very conscious that their market is largely budget-conscious (esp families), and hopefully it is obvious that the jerseys are out of alignment with that. So hopefully soon there will be a solution more appropriate for the individual needs of ABL. The baseball public reacted the same way to the ABL website before the launch in October - thankfully it was just a filler before the longer-term solution we have today. Hopefully merch will go the same way. In the meantime, I will continue to mull over the idea of having copies made cheaply in China, importing them and selling them to you all for $150 a pop. And tell you what, how bad-ass would you be wearing such a 'valuable' item at home games? Status bling.

I agree - good looking uni but a non-sensical price for the average punter - presumably people will vote with their wallet (by keeping it closed).

I know I was shocked to see the prices of the jerseys, for me being only very small I can fortunately fit into a Youth XL size. Even if I am to get an Aces one its still going to be huge on me, hopefully they get more sizes as kids would love to them, maybe the price of them will drop?

I've suggested to management that they allow the practice tops, aka T-shirts, to be sold onto the fans. they look good and look enough like the playing tops that many would buy them IMHO.
They were somewhat lukewarm to the idea...pity really.
