Surely this is the biggest case of d**ned if they do, d**ned if they don't. For the sake of this argument, let's say it DID rain on Saturday. There would be so much praise for the DBA in making a good call early, and the MWBL would be getting slammed for not having the foresight to call the round early. In this instance, yes, some guys/girls missed out on a game that possibly could have been played. Is it really that big of a deal? Personally, I would prefer to be told early that the games have been cancelled and be slightly disappointed that we COULD have played, than drive across town only to find out ground was unplayable. Not a case of d**ned if you do and d**ned if you don't. Don't try and second guess the weather - assume it's playable and make a last minute decision to cancel if needs be. If you reckon it's too wet to play and can't be bothered driving across town then don't - that's your choice. Not everyone feels that way. How many games do we play in winter? 16? 18? Yes, it IS a big deal!!!!!

The next week of games are upon us. Build a bridge and get over it. If all you have to look forward to is baseball every week, all I can say is sad to be you.

TQT, I'm with you, bring on week 10. I think week 9 has run it's course.

No, nothing to add from me. Seems to be a pretty good mid-season summary.
