Having a look a the weather I would say that the rain may stay away.
Whilst we have been having showers on and off I think the worst of it has passed.
It will still be a cold night so make sure of a good jacket.
This series is a must win for both teams and anything short of a split will be a serious set back for either team.
See you all there

Balls flying out left right and center but mostly right. Pitchers gotta love playing on the junior sized field, looks like they installed a beach as well

Tell Tale game stats:
For sure the Melbourne grounds must be deemed "batter friendly" 17starter. I'd hate to be a pitcher there. Good fun for the fans though and I have no real complaint.
5 Dingers for Bandits and 3 for Aces. Both teams long ball hitters went to town it seems.
But 15 Walks from Bandits Pitching staff in 8 innings??... that's the game difference in 1 Stat.>HOLY BASE ON BALLS BATMAN<, No team can defend walks.

Not to rub it in but the Bandits 6th inns, bases loaded and none out, the next three hitters stuck out. The game was there for the taking. Will post video of this in the morning.

No offence to the guy, and the guy out on the diamond (who may be the same guy) as they did a pretty good job 'entertaining' but I agree I'd much rather hear an Aussie give us an Aussie feel to the game with our lingo etc

So much for league leading defence. I guess it doesn't matter on a little league diamond. I found where last years Rams went

Good series for the ACES!! (Except for Ijuyin going down ) Good on Rutgers for making an impact when he got the call, hitting .500+ in his 6 games with a bomb and 8 RBIs. How about Kamei? 1st in HRs, 1st in RBIs, 2nd in Runs, 2nd in OPS (to Rutgers) from only 16 games (~25-30 less ABs than those who've been here from the start). Karlsen continues to rake (from the 9 hole ). Would like to see some fielding stats (or maybe told where they are), because I'm sure he's thrown out about 50% of those would-be base-stealers. Wiltshire has done nothing but dominate since he got the call, good to see him in the side and doing well. If only Trav could pitch more...17 k's in 11 innings with only 5 walks and 5 hits allowed; translates to a sub 1.00 ERA and WHIP.

The Aces are doing great at the moment, Chilli.
I'm running short of online superlatives for some of the individual performances (for example, what do you say about Kamei, Russell, Davies and the Blackley Bros pitching?).
But it's a great leveller, this game. We'll still get our whacks. And it's going to be a different situation after Christmas.

You forgot Karlsen too there kc (no doubt an oversight only mate).
So we lose the Japanese boys (some will be a massive loss)...who will we pick up - Moylan ? Will TravisB be around for the duration, any more use of the imports maybe ?
So many question - love some insight from anyone - seems we are playoff bound now that the Bandits are well and truly in the rear vision mirror !
And everything that is said of the venue (good and bad) there is little doubt that we play it well and it would great to get the playoffs down here !

I think that the aces would be wise to check the clubs with imports to see if they can use them. Maybe, as in previous posts, compensate the clubs somehow for the use of the imports. If you have quality guys out here playing why not use them. Although, it should not be to the detriment of the club.
