Moylan?? You know he has just had Tommy John right?? He will HOPEFULLY be ready for Big League Spring.
He won't even be home for Xmas as he has rehab the whole time.
Sanders - isnt he a Yank?? Pretty sure that stops him from qualifying.
Few others that have never played at a National level there but all entitled to put forward opinions.

Was of the understanding it was the top 50 players in the VBA, and I picked from players that played last season, I know Moylan and Huber didn't play, but I think they would just scrape into the 50

ok, interesting... You realise you took out 4 pitchers who were in the Top 10 for wins and ERA.
One of them threw 107 innings for an ERA of 2.27.
Opinions are one thing, having an actual clue is another....

I think 50 is way too many , Sheahan does a 50 for a 16 team 22 a side game. A lot of names are being put up just to fill the list. How about reducing the list and pick by position? Have =8 Pitchers 4 Catchers 8 Infield 6 Outfield 4 D/H = 30 Now that means making some cuts and Earning a spot on the list in a position. I am not expert enough to even begin to fill it out but would be interested to see what you guys come up with.

I Have tried to do the 30 bulldurham but I can't cut any off the ten pitchers. I apologise for probably over looking Div 2 guys but I didn't get to watch your games. Also I left Huber, Moylan and Trav out as they were in the states alot last summer but they would be walk up starts and no imports.

4 very good teams wouldn't want to be on the opposing bench, maybe Irvo could be the batboy.

ohhh i dunno... it wouldnt be as exciting if there werent the pro ballers... and maybe make it 1 import each?
a home-run derby would also be very exciting to see... would u make it top 8 in HR category at time? 1 from each div 1 club? but then, how would teams like Blackburn decide who to send...

yeah thats pretty reasonable i spose... but then would u risk having the chance of having someone from bottom team (in the derby) who has struggled, as opposed to a second player from one club whos just behind a teammate...

Cass and Wearne need to show that they give a sh1t about Claxton before they get a go. The reason for (T Blackley/Spear) is, if Trav's avail then he goes. Spearsy is like Beetlejuice, needs to be asked 3 times before he shows up then rips it up when he's there. Can't leave L Hogan out, keeps getting it done. Give Brooks and Aron a year OS then tattoo them in the lineup for the next 5 years.
Funny thing, don't see any Div2 or 3 players in this lineup... my opinion of course, but I know I'm right.

agree with that scotty (same with cass) is a great bloke. however they shouldn't be included in the all star line up in place of people who have played at that level. i dont think its got to do with them not giving a damb. but more the fact that the selectors go for the signed players. for example Beresford (is going to be a terrific player) but wearne is better than him at the moment (just in terms of strength and experience). personally i believe that it should be the best players in victoria and not the best signed players in victoria. for the most part they are the same group but there are also a few exceptions.
