Do they play 9 innings in South Australia or do they still play 7 inning games?

Pie Floaters all round to make the SA boys feel better. They might still surprise the Heat Sunday by taking the Rubber. Giving up 15 hits in a game is more than just unlucky....

I saw a photo of an old claxton shield game and South Australia were wearing red uniform pants. Could that be true?

Come to think of it, same difference........................ Did they have RED noses & BIG Yellow Shoes...now seriously, let's not take the pi$$ out of the SA players. I bet they are all competitive & bustin' there balls. Good luck to them in the series final. Why isn't Tony Harris, Australian coach of the year 2008, involved?

Victoria had a baseball dynasty in the 80s, Queensland had a dynasty in the late 80s, NSW had a dynasty in the 90s, WA are having a dynasty in the new millenium and according to reports out of South Australia they had a baseball dynasty on January 2nd, lasted all of 1 day.

OK, i will be the first to admit that the 09 claxton campaign has been a disaster for SA. i don't even want to talk about it. Our top league (SABL Division 1) on the other hand, I can assure you is not representative of our Claxton woes. We have no less than 20 foreigners involved this season including about 6 Minnesota Twins farmhands plus the 08 Holland Series MVP Ryan Murphy suits up for Port Adelaide week in week out. All you Victorians are probably too engrossed in the Patriots v Aces fixture this weekend to be bothered reading this anyway....And this is fair enough....it will be a great series between 2 very talented teams. The truth is that the home grown talent in SA is the thinnest in Australia (by a long way too) and I can't explain why? However, our import laden league is strong and I just wanted to let you people know this....We just suck at Claxton.

Perhaps you have answered your own question.
How many imports per team are allowed at the expense of developing your up and coming Locals?
1 per team should be the limit IMO. How many top division Teams in the Adelaide league?

WA have a limit of 2 which I think might be 1 pitcher and 1 position player. Same rules as Vic about only having an import pitch each second game game, howebver 2 games a week means you're import is throwing every week.
