perfeckt, you are quite right in saying that the Forum can, and should be better than suggested by the unbecoming exchanges in this thread over the past couple of days.
The thread has raised matters of serious concern about which we should remain vigilant. Even though governing bodies kept their heads in the sand for many years over Trevor Jarrett and his (ultimately) proven criminal behaviours, these are not issues that will readily go away.
Yes, we should seek to address the very many other matters of importance for baseball people. That is why the Baseball Forum was created. And, yes, this particular thread should not define what the forum is about.
It should not define us at all, and I do not believe that it does.
The Forum has allowed certain persons oxygen when it arguably might not have – especially over the past couple of days. We have responded accordingly to the manipulative and time-wasting crap that was forthcoming this week and we have taken measures to ensure that intending new members of the Forum will be required to establish reasonable bona fides before being allowed to comment on the disturbing matter of paedophiles in Australian baseball.
The overwhelming majority of Forum members are decent and committed baseball persons making a valued contribution to our online dialogue. We know that. More often than not, they are people who are doing terrific work as volunteers, as club officials, coaches, players, scouts, managers, sponsors and simply tragics of the game.
Those few who are working off another agenda have no place here – or in the sport as a whole.
Anyone posting in this particular thread is urged, again, to comment from a basis of fact – or at least reasonable supposition – to keep the discussion credible and to build upon the integrity that the Baseball Forum has earned (despite its critics) over the years.
And, again, we implore any person who has knowledge of criminal activity to contact Crime Stoppers - no matter how long ago it may have been or whatever power the perpetrator may have seemed to exercise.

This thread has been very quiet for the last few months - since moderators obviously gave the flick to "Steve Guru", "SteveG", "metsace", Özello-Brasanski" and the other silly nom de plumes that Trevor Lindsay Jarrett seems to have used in his online dealings.
While pissing Jarrett off from this Forum is a good thing, his tiresome Australian Baseball Digest is still alive and kicking as he desperately - and sadly - continues to try to make himself credible and to engage with people online.
He seems to have ramped up the efforts and gotten more confident of late and he is occasionally able to engage in conversation with people who don't know that a convicted and listed child sex offender runs the ABD show.
It is up to individuals who they choose to "like" or to communicate with online, though it should always be on the basis of knowing exactly who it is that you are dealing with. If we truly want to keep this parasite on the outer, then we should take every available opportunity to spread the word about who is front and centre with the Dodgy Digest.
We all have better things to do, but let's not forget that Jarrett is a convicted child sex offender who was exiled from the ABF in disgrace, who seems to have (so far) been fortunate in avoiding further jail time and who is alleged to have been involved in kiddy-fiddling activities as far back as the 1970s.
As we are seeing more and more often, criminal activity of the Jarrett type is catching up with people. It may take years, or decades, but it going to happen increasingly more often as courageous victims come forward and as good people demonstrate that they are prepared to take a stand against those who seek to exploit the vulnerable in our community.

I agree 100% with what you are saying. Through word of mouth, emails to friends & associates, phone and social media we tell as many people as possible about Jarrett. Yes, he's still involved in the ABD. This germ gets his jollies through deception. That is one thing he's particularly adept at. Whether it be kids or adults, he's been at it for decades. He's an utter disgrace to humanity.

I've noticed that Dodgy Digest has not been updated for a week or so.
Maybe the Editor has had that dreaded knock on the door from constabulary. We can only hope.
Maybe he has finally twigged that he is persona non grata in baseball circles.
Maybe he is sick, or maybe he has departed this mortal coil.
No-one gives a stuff about him.
Unless, and only, if his absence coincides with the National Youth Championships.

I assume by "in attendance" it would mean anyone, not just players? If so that would be just about every baseball game on the planet.

Just saw a link from the Brisbane Bandits Facebook page to this site here. Is this the same thing with a slightly different name? Is is still run by the same bloke? If so, should the BB organisation know about this and severe ties? I would think any family oriented organisation would like to avoid links to a convicted paedophile.

Hmm, so Robert Hughes has been nailed and Rolf "Extra Leg" Harris will confront the justice system in May.
With the extent of child sex abuse now becoming blindingly apparent, we are finally starting to see justice being delivered against at least some of the perpetrators.
Tip of the iceberg, maybe, but it is a start. Sleep well, Trevor Jarrett and your mates.
Spot on, Chilli. A pity that the ABF and the state associations don't have the sack to take a stand against paedophilia in the sport. Or at least to develop a policy to protect our young baseball people.

Wow, I notice that the discredited, never-credited Australian Baseball Digest has now had the temerity to copy and paste a story flippantly headed "It's nothing short of child abuse"!!!
Tasteful, huh? Real class, Mister Jarrett.

Pretty quiet on the Jarrett front lately. Has he been locked up again? Has he died?
Apparently he has not made a comeback on this Forum? A pity about that.
Weak as piss, as peddos are.

All is seemingly not well at Australian Baseball Digest. Maybe Trevor Jarrett has been arrested (again), maybe he is ill, maybe he has lost interest or maybe he has died. Any one of those would be a reasonable outcome.
Those who check on his discredited, undigestable Digest from time to time (to see what he is up to) will have noticed that he has not plagiarised and posted anything for a week (though there was a similar pattern about this time last year, so maybe he is simply on holidays). His most recent post ends with the insightful and really original comment, “We’ve said it before – it’s a tough business” (presumably in regard to Minor League baseball).
After six or seven years, still no disclosure of who the “WE”” might be. No clues, no names, no credibility, no honesty.
Yet ABD blog “likes” just keep ticking over, at a rate of a few a day.
Adding further to the intrigue, just a few days ago (on June 15), the ABD Twitter account shows up a couple of new follows. Of the two additions, ABD now follows Trevor Jarrett (who has his sleazy mug on a Twitter account with just two posts from several years ago).
Weirder and weirder.

Seems now that we can reasonably say DRIP (Don't Rest in Peace).
Going on its lack of online activity of late, one can only surmise that Australian Baseball Digest is effectively out of circulation.
A small blessing, though let us not underestimate the paedophile's capacity to bob up somewhere else. Stay vigilant.

I was told earlier this week that comments on the ABD site have been closed for a couple of weeks. Just checked a few minutes ago and it appears to be the case. Don't know why anyone would even bother commenting in the first place.

You know what I find intriguing. 'Jarrett the Germ' is still listed as Grant Balfour's agent. That's pretty sad stuff, it shows he is associated with a Kiddy Fiddler! BTW what happened to the germ when he fronted court a year or so ago? Did he get locked up? If not, he should have.

Castration should be compulsory for rock spiders like this guy. Oh wait...this is Australia. A slap on the wrist will suffice.

Australia's own Cardinal Pell continues to be under scrutiny for crimes alleged to have been committed decades ago, along with many or even most of our formerly well-regarded private schools, churches and a plethora of other social institutions entrusted with care of young people.
Why should Trevor Lindsay Jarrett be allowed any peace? Especially as an already convicted and listed child sex offender who has clearly not yet been held fully accountable.
This Forum has been effective in drawing attention to Jarrett and his ilk. Is the germ still alive? Does anyone know? How might he be tracking? What is his online engagement these days? What is he up to?
Does Baseball Australia administration still have its head in the sand by failing to take a strong stance - or at least to comment on the serious criminal matters surrounding Jarrett and his paedophile mates? Matters and concerns that were first broached on this Forum over eight years ago.
There is no statute of limitations on the crimes committed against our children and young people. The likes of Trevor Jarrett will be brought to account, if they have not been already.
For Baseball Australia, the pending departure of the CEO presents an ideal opportunity for the organisation to affirm, or to reaffirm its commitment to protection of young people in our baseball care - so that the likes of Trevor Lindsay Jarrett can never again wreak their havoc and hurt of previous times.
