I heard Trav isn't allowed to pitch over here, got a new contract - don't take that as gospel though.
Losing the Japs will create some holes. But there're solid players to pick up the slack!

I reckon Phil Dale said it well last night. The boys have played well this week but the real work is still to come.
There is still the series in Brisbane, and despite the sweep this week the Aces can't get complacent. The Bandits showed what they can be capable of on Game 3 Wednesday night providing a scare. Game 4 was a good introduction to a Giantless Aces, and with continued good form from the locals at the mound/plate there is a real shot at the top of the ladder.
Perhaps the key to this season is continuing to hit well at home when the Bite and Heat come to play in January. Both teams didn't fare well against the Calvary recently (which has shown how topsy-turvy team form has been) and most noticeably didn't do well offensively. If the Aces can resemble the derby of this week a top-place into the play-offs can go to plan.
Hopefully the team will continue to click just as well without the Tokyo influence. Obviously it's less hitting but in my opinion every role in the team has been filled solidly by locals.
Moylan's movements is another big question to ask. Don't know how available he is. Tactically, I reckon January is the best time for him to come in. Provided he is our best weapon for shut-out pitching, it's perfect given the season standings as well as the strong offensive coming up with the Bite and Heat.
On a side note, I enjoyed the announcing a lot more on Thursday night than I did Wednesday night. Sounded a lot more natural. Not sure if we need to insist on a US accent (I don't mind either way), but seems like management want to.

From Facebook Travis Blackley is officially a member of the Kia Tigers. Adam Bright signed with Tokyo Giants.

nah, I didn't forget the catcher authentic.
I thought I gave him a fair wrap in the BV report (don't want it to go to his head, y'know).
In seriousness, it's hard to leave anyone out of despatches. So many have had fantastic games - especially at home.

So now the Jap players have gone, do the likes of Beresford, Moylan and T. Blackley all get permanent spots on the 22-man roster?
